EDIT: The 2022 home game season is perfect.

These ARE the good old days.

This season is everything you hope for - amazing young men on our football team, amazing coaches and staff.

We are playing great and winning games.

Don't take any of it for granted.

Go Vols!

I was 6 when Tennessee won a national championship. I’m loving every single minute of Vol football!

If people cannot find a way to be ecstatic right now, they need to give up all hope and just stop watching sports. The last decade+ should show people how amazing this year is. This is what Tennessee should be. This is what I grew up with in the 90s. Tennessee challenging every year. Hopefully this will be a better version of those years.

The thing I keep remembering is that back in the '98 run someone called in to the local radio show and said

"All I've done for years is pray to see the Vols win a National Championship before I die"

"Now I'm scared"

I’ve had the Carole King song stuck in my head the last few weeks, keeping perspective.

And now, for the next five and a half days, it’s all anticipation. Anticipay-ay-shon.

Agree completely. But there are some (whose comments you have liked) who are determined to "pump the brakes" on the enthusiasm.

We should enjoy it fully because you don't know how far it goes or when it will end. Some (see Bama) become entitled. I hope it never stops being "fun" and maybe a little over the top at times.

And that is why I posted.

Getting your hopes up can really cause pain. And God knows the pain we have felt as people who love Tennessee.

But...there is time to just feel the moment. That time is now.

Kudos to all the loyal Vol fans who put their support for UT all-in at a hostile ranked team's stadium, not knowing how it would turn out..I respect that so much and challenge others to do the same..I wish I could go to some away games but I can't..So I guess I can do so vicariously through you guys..Thank you for being there for those of us who can't.....

SALUTE!!!!!

Pain has been synonymous w light orange for too long. Time for light orange to stand for hope, prosperity and the pursuit of total conscious happiness again!

Great post @vollygirl ! It’s easy as a fan/fan base to not take in these moments because we get accustomed to the good times so quickly and forget from whence we came. I look around the college football landscape now and see other programs/fan bases just starting to experience, or in the middle of, what we’ve experienced for almost the past 15 years. Cycle up or cycle down, sooner or later your program’s time is coming. Just look at the likes of OU (just starting) or Miami (can’t get any traction) and on down the line. I’m enjoying every minute of this program under Heupel.

I've worn the orange in good years, I've worn the orange in bad years. I anticipated wearing the orange for our win against bama this weekend, but my son has a Cross Country meet.
I'll wear orange for that, but I appreciate all of my fellow Vol Fans that will step up for me in Neyland. ORANGE please!

p.s. remember your ear plugs, Neyland will destroy your hearing. My ears were still ringing at work Monday after the gator game.
