This kid seems solid. 6'8 193 pounds. He could add on some weight and be a dominant post threat. According to Rivals, he has medium interest in 23 schools, and Tennessee is one of them and we have offered him.

Any chance we land this kid....

Not if Calamari wants him. KU is the new Mempiss and Calamari will pay him to go there. No shot IMO.

Sorry, but I think he is UK bound. Things could change, but right now all indications are pointing toward Lexington.

When UNC offers, he's going there.

If you have read the interviews with his father, paid attention to his comments, and listen to any of the recruiting experts in the know, all point to UK. Recruiting experts are not always right, and frequently wrong. I'm just saying what the current signs point to.

You can be condescending and cross all you want, and we can see where he ends up going.

Roy Williams is definitely recruiting him really hard, no doubt about that. He was at the UK/NC game at Rupp this year, and wears UK gear top to bottom to school every week.

None of that is solid recruiting news, but nonetheless its a sign.

He is also close friends with the #1 player in the class (Gilchrist) who has long been considered a Calipari lean (which happens to be UK now). He says they talk often about playing together in college.

Gilchrist could end up going to Nova or somewhere else, but he is also considered a UK lean. Word is we should be locked with the top 3 players in that class.

We could end up with all three, or none of them, thats recruiting for you.

Bottom line, if the decision were made now, he's wearing our blue. Lots of time left.

I know it's Kentucky, but that recruiting roll is ridiculous. Given the past of the coach and his association with the Nike henchman, WWW, one has to wonder.

Seriously, I realize we're talking about one of the top programs of all time, but the level at which UK is outrecruiting places like UNC, Duke, and Kansas is crazy.

I think its mainly the buzz with Calipari and the sudden turn around at UK. During our run in the late 90's we out-recruited all those schools with Pitino. Historically we have always recruited at the top level. Tubby simply refused to recruit top level talent and Gillispie was, well... Gillispie.

Everyone has gotten used to the idea over the last 9 years that nobody out recruits UNC/KU/Duke. Now all of a sudden, UK is doing so and everyone is up in arms as to why. This program has always had the ability to recruit/out recruit those schools, but it has not been taken advantage of until now.

The fact that its Cal, cause everyone to be a little more suspicious about it.

The fact of the matter is, UNC and UK SHOULD outrecruit everybody. There are just too many built in advantages at those schools to not get a class every year with 2-3 top-25 recruits.
