I don't have a problem with this. I see potential in this kid and I really think he'll benefit from this move. Just a little disappointed that we won't see him take the court though. GO VOLS!!

Quinton Chievous likely headed for redshirt GoVolsXtra

Tennessee freshman Quinton Chievous has come to a mutual decision with coach Cuonzo Martin to enter into tentative redshirt status this season.

Martin said Monday that Chievous' status could change, but the current plan is to hold the freshman from Chicago out of game action.

You talk as though this guy left the program. Red shirting isn't a big deal

Where in "I don't have a problem with this. I see potential in this kid and I really think he'll benefit from this move. Just a little disappointed that we won't see him take the court though. GO VOLS!!" do I imply that?

You are acting like it is a big deal. You said you are disappointed he isn't taking the court.

Also dont be so defensive bro. It's a message board and I didn't even say anything remotely offensive.

OP didn't seem to make a big deal or act defensive to me. He's probably disappointed he hasn't seen Chievous in action. Not a sad or frustrated disappointment, just curiosity and excitement in what kind of player Chievous may be.

Pretty much. I liked what I saw from him in the RTL, so I'm disappointed that we won't see what he can do on the big stage. But like I said, I think this is a good move, so I'm certainly not mad or frustrated.

lol back to the OP

Nothing wrong with this. I personally didn't see him in the RTL but If he has potential, this is for sure best for the kid. If Martin does indeed shorten the rotation, he'd burn elgibility in mop up duty because I didn't see him fiting in with this rotation.
