Quote from Missouri board

Mizzou could win by 28 if we miss assignments and get owned on D like we did this week. Mizzou could also lose the game, because the truth is that they are vulnerable.

Either way, I wish Tiny hadn't given them any bulletin board crap to talk about all week, because we have yet to prove anything positive on the road.

Missouri is the one with everything on the line...........can they handle the pressure?

Mizzou has height and speed on the edges. While they are no where near the same level as Oregon, the match ups are similar. We have got to get pressure on Mauk but still contain him and not let him run. The potential to lose by 28 is absolutely there, especially if Randolph and Moore are out.

Right now we are a game ahead of where we thought we would be before the season started, which is good, because Auburn is a lot better than we thought they would be. It may come down to Vandy and Kentucky for us to make the BBVA Compass Bowl, but I also wouldn't put it past this team winning out and making the Chick-fil-a Bowl. Buckle up fellas!

I'm sure they know that Mauk is there only QB they have healthy, I believe they would want him to safely navigate runs. Ok after saying that its going to be a good game, and of course I think we take the win...Because we will start playing just as soon as we get off the bus...we learned a good lesson at Bama...you got to be ready to play when you get off the BUS.. and Mizzo sucking wind at the end of the USCe game...Don't think that CBJ didn't take notice..

Come on, you seriously going to go pick out quotes from the board and act like it's some sort of consensus?

Would you want some of the threads and posts put here singled out on opponents' boards?

Hopefully, Richardson's comments don't come back to bite us in the butt like the "red team" comments did. *Never, ever good to guarantee a win IMO.

60% of the time, it doesn't work every time.

His guarantee was taken out of context; he put a condition around the "guarantee", which is really no different than saying "If we play mistake free football, we win".

It's been very overblown.

The things that worry me most are Randolph's health and their big fast receivers. I believe our OL handles their DL for the most part. If Vol receivers can catch the ball and not stumble when wide open we could put up some big yardage.

If you use SC as a gauge, it appears that Mike Davis was not 100% and neither was Shaw who didn't play at all until late. SC pretty much shut Mauk down in the second half, but those receivers are scary good.

Someone better tell Maty he's in trouble. Someone better tell the third string QB to start warming up. Seeing the QB rates of injuries this year this could pose a problem for them. Depth is definitely an issue. If we come playing aggressive there could be some banged up bodies and losses will take a toll.

One reason he does not run more is that they really don't have anyone behind him according to reports. Berkstresser has an MCL. A true Fr Eddie Printz is the next guy on the depth chart. Supposedly he is nowhere near ready.

Qualifier: UT has a bad recent history of making "not ready for prime time" replacements look like all Americans... but I don't think that would be the case here.

Their receivers are big. They run disciplined routes. They play within their system for the most part. Washington and DGB appear to be the only ones with really good speed. DGB has trouble catching the ball and still runs routes wrong.

Washington can be contained as USCe proved... minus one play.

Is it really that big of a deal? Just saw a quote I thought was interesting and would make for good conversation. Never said it was a consensus or all of their fans think that will happen. Every team has realistic and unrealistic fans. Just like every team has posters that will criticize every thread started. I was waiting for it, and there it is. Thank you.

I have yet to start a thread this year without someone coming on and criticizing it. But it seems thats how most threads are nowadays, not just mine. Not that big of a deal really man, just saw the quote and wanted to talk a little football and hear other people's thoughts. That's all.

"someone better tell Tiny he is in trouble. Missouri wins by 28 to prove they are great."

Missouri may very well win and I do respect their defensive line but no way I see them winning by 28 points. I would be suprised if they beat us by more than 14. I am expecting us to be in the game in the 4th quarter with a possible chance for a win no matter who is playing quarterback for UT. Hope Randolph is healthy, that almost worries me more than Dobbs possibly getting his first start on the road. I still expect we might see Worley some though. Either way Dobbs is the type of guy that will prepare himself for whatever role the team needs him to fill.

Reminds me of the "Big Boy Football" remark before the GA game last year.

Tennessee single handedly paved the way for missouri this year. Georgia and florida lost some key guys playing us. Only thing they did was take advantage.

Really? You didn't pick out a ridiculous post and decided to put it here to try and create some faux outrage?

Missouri Is A Speed Team. UT Will Struggle Against Them. Have You Seen Our Guys Try To Tackle? If UT Doesn't Force Turnovers, They Will Get Blasted.

I Think UT Can Win, But It Will Be Close.

You Guys Are Kidding Yourselves If You Are Writing This Mizzou Team Off.

You Forget That UT Was Owned By That Same Florida Team. They Just Brought In The Second String Qb And Ran All Over UT.

Missouri Pounded Them.

UT Lost To Ga When They Were Without Their Players.

Missouri Beat Them Pretty Convincingly.

UT Will Have To Be Efficient On Offense To Have A Chance Against Mizzou. It Is Possible, But Hardly An Easy Task.

Seriously? No, I didnt. I just saw a quote that stood out, and that I happen to disagree with, and wanted to share my thoughts on the game and hear others as well. Any more nitpicking, or are you finished?

............. If you stand on the far right hand side of a table and then go to the other side and turn around, what hand side are you now at??

The answer would be the left hand side.

I suggest deleting the post cause that is kind of embarrassing

Yeah, it's kinda like: If you're standing one step away from the north pole, then there is still a north, south, east, and west. Take that one step and there is only south, heh?

Then why couldn't Mizzou couldn't step on south ....Carolina?

OMG I didn't just write that did I? !!!:yuck:

Yes, and stood out because of how ridiculous it was and how much you knew it would tick people off here.

You know what, you are actually right. That was my diabolical plan when I woke up this morning. Come on man, get real. Surely there are better things you could be doing on here than this. I'm done; I'm too busy having a super interesting conversation with the grammar police now to continue arguing with you.

And you saying you were done yet coming back to respond tells me all I need to know.

Well seeing how it is my thread that I started it would only make sense for me to continue to post in here. I never said I was done in the thread, I meant i was just done answering stupid questions. So thank you for not asking another one.
