Only halfway through, but this one takes the cake (for those not watching):

[after the second-quarter incompletion in the endzone to Swain]

"Almost the story of the season right there, you know, so far. . . .just a little bit away from being perfect.

Perfect ??? Somebody pinch me.

Since it is Halloween and all, I am tempted to put on a Grim Reaper outfit and pace in front of Fulmer's house.

When is Bob Kesling going to ask, "How does it feel to be outcoached in all seven games so far this year?"

My daughter is going as a Tennessee cheerleader. I think I might tote along a baseball bat for all the smart@sses out there.

Right. No one ever asks any tough questions to him. It's like we have to handle him with kid gloves all the time, and frankly, I don't understand why.

The rest of the population has to face criticism if we don't get our jobs done, and so should our coaching staff.

:dunno: No way that's gonna happen, Kesling is a Fulme lacky.

Kesling is paid by the university. Of course he throws softballs to Fulmer. They don't call it the Phillip Fulmer show for nothing.

How exactly has UT been outcoached in ANY game this year? I don't recall a loss this year where the players executed the plays all game and we still lost. I know everyone is tired of hearing "we just did not execute" but it is the truth! Take away the bama fumbles and we win. Take away the Foster fumble Saturday and we win. Take away the GA endzone INT and punt return for a TD and we win. Take away dropped passes and poor special teams play vs. FLA and we win. Everyone complains about Fulmer citing execution but he is right, if you take away the above mentioned mistakes we are 7-0 or 6-1 at worst. Ultimately the lack ofexecution is the staff's responsibility, but this being outcoached on gameday theory is just wrong.

Part of coaching doesn't just happen on game day, if they would have drilled fundamentals into practice, like, i don't know....HOLDING ON TO THE BALL...what you said just may be true.

Pretty sure his meaning was that "that play was just a bit from being perfect" and it was. He was not saying they are just a bit from being perfect "for the entire season."

Hey Holdem, you aren't by chance Randy Sanders, are you? Either that or you work for the K-News Sentinel, the ultimate kool-aid drinkers!

I guess ya have to be 90 miles away to get some objectivity. Hats off to TriCitiesSports!

Sorry bro, but I completely disagree. When we scrape by inferior talent EVERY GAME, get beat up by Georgia, and lose to a far-undermanned SC team, we have been outcoached. The one exception would be at LSU, where Miles let his team blow what should have been an insurmountable lead (especially now that it's obvious how inept we are on offense).

Doesn't matter.  I don't think that even individuals plays have been close to being "perfect."  The majority of the plays this season can be described as either mistake-ridden, poorly-exectuted, predictable, or unlucky.

Ok so are you saying without the mistakes I mentioned we still would have lost those games? If so you did not watch them. I am not saying that we have the greatest coaching staff in the world, but the losses this year have not been a product of "being outcoached", they have been a product of poor execution from the players. Again, Fulmer and co. are responsible for the lack of execution in the end, but I would like for someone to explain to me how we have been outcoached in a single game this year. Playcalling has NOT been the culprit, poor play from our players has. Fulmer needs to get in some asses and get some production out of these talented players, but I still want some examples of how UT has been outcaoched on gameday this year.

Holdem, do you not think that Richt outcoaches Fulmer?

At times, sure he has. My point was that player mistakes have caused every loss THIS YEAR. I am pretty sure Fulmer has never asked a player to fumble or drop a pass.

Any time you lose to inferior talent, you have been out coached!

First of all, you can go back and read all 300+ of my posts and you will not find a single one that claims Sanders is even close to a good OC, and for the record I am glad he is on the way out. I do not think he does a great job, but I think he has taken a little too much of the blame for this season's problems. This season's problems for the most part have been poor play and stupid mistakes from our players. I think the seemingly nonexistent fundamentals on this team are just as much the fault of position coaches and Fulmer himself, but sanders seems to take 90% of the blame. I am no Sanders apologist but I think he has just taken too much of the heat.

Not true. The "inferior talent" have not made the mistakes our "superior talent" has. When you turn the ball over and drop balls like UT has this year, you are not going to win many games no matter what kind of talent you have.
