How so?

Gio: 7-2 2.31 era 1.02 whip 28 BB

Beachy 5-4 (not his fault he hasn't got run support) 1.87era 0.95 whip 23 BB

He doesn't strike out as many as Gio but he has better control, gives up less runs, and locks down tighter when runners do get on base.

No brainer.

Jair had a pretty lucky first half last year. He constantly was pitching out of jams.
