Heard he burned a lot of bridges with his SbtB cast mates doing tell all’s and such. His career apparently went nowhere after the show and he just did whatever to make a buck.

Sad story. He’s was just a year older than me.

I think the only bridge he had to burn was the bridge back to any reboot/spinoff show and he burned those bridges with generally bad behavior, aside from the gossip. He clearly resented all of them but it appears to me the sour feelings only go one way. They all seem to like him. He wasn't really a peer. He was younger than them by a margin that was enough to make a big social difference and then they were all beautiful and cool and he was the doofus. I think they treated him like a mascot and he was happy to be included. They have nothing but good feelings and memories but he looks back on it with a new light with his demons and insecurities preying on him, and he probably thought they thought he was an idiot and less than, etc.

I've been listening to the SbtB pod and MPG has shared a lot of good memories of Screech. He also has a clear admiration for how good Screech was as a young actor who had pretty good comedic timing.

I figured he wasn’t going to make it when they mentioned his learning how to move with physical therapy after his chemotherapy in the hospital. I guessing he had a stroke at that time. It’s just a very sad story and I hope he was able to make peace. He was clearly a very bitter person and I’m sure he was treated poorly in life that caused him to become like that. RIP.

Imagine this, they have turned his unfortantute passing into something racial. Seen that "Lisa Turtle" was trending on Twitter yesterday so I clicked on it to see what that was all about....It was about how Screech's obsession with Lisa on the show was the first big TV "relationship" in daytime TV. Everything has to be race related these days. :rolleyes:

There are a lot more Screechs than Slaters or Zacks on VN. You can tell by some of our posts in the "Bad Dates" thread

Wasn’t much of one considering she only rebuffed him.

On another note, I believed for the longest time that Dustin Diamond was Beastie Boys, Mike D’s, little brother. Think I was told that before the internet was a thing, they do share similar facial features so it was plausible. I definitely spread that misinformation around for a few year.
