Instead of pledging to make reasonable facility upgrades, which was the final hurdle in hiring Billy Gillispie, it appears U of H has decided to do things on the cheap and hire James Dickey. I really think they should now consider leaving C-USA and joining the Southland, since they don't want to spend the money to compete. Amazing.

Thats a slap in the face to Conf. USA. and to the school...You get what you pay for Houston, enjoy your ride down even more.

It's as if Houston, East Carolina, and Tulane are in a race to see who can crater their program deepest.

Speaking of Tulane, Dave Dickerson is out. Let's see if they give an indication they actually care now.

Billy G must not be getting good references from his former employer.

Houston is tied with Iowa for the second most head-scratching hire of the offseason. St. John's is in a class all their own at #1.
