I do not believe in calling a race due to rain. If it rains out finish it the next day. If you dont do the the proper amount of laps how can you be a true winner? Finish it!

I think it'd be neat to see them go to treaded tires and run in the rain.

They have tried to do that, back in the 90's they ran the treaded tires in an exhibition race in Japan. Needless to say, it didn't work out so well.

Yeah, I guess oval racing isn't very conducive to running in the rain. Road courses might be a different story though.

The exhibition race they tried it in was on a road course, and they said it could work with a few adjustments but nothing ever came of it. The biggest problem seemed to be the spray coming off from behind the cars and the lack of visibility produced. They mentioned using windshield wipers and tail lights to try and fix that but, never happened, and I don't think it ever will. I honestly think road courses will be a thing of the past in the next few years in NASCAR.

i'm all for rain delays. in fact, they shouldn't wait so long to call it for rain. save us all the time.
