The exhibition race they tried it in was on a road course, and they said it could work with a few adjustments but nothing ever came of it. The biggest problem seemed to be the spray coming off from behind the cars and the lack of visibility produced. They mentioned using windshield wipers and tail lights to try and fix that but, never happened, and I don't think it ever will. I honestly think road courses will be a thing of the past in the next few years in NASCAR.
