Rain

well, we're about 3 hours out of race time, and the line of storms looks to be moving fairly quickly. if i could actually tune into a Darlington weather station, i would know for sure. well, sure as every other weatheman out there. i work outside so i pay a lot of attention to weather. once that line of storms goes through, it's clear behind it.

basically, if they think they can race tonight they will. remember the Pepsi 400 a few years ago that lsated until like 3am?

weather channel says scattered T-Storms til morning...By looking at the radar i'm thinking 2 more hours of rain at the very least...looks like a sunday afternoon race to me

Chris Meyers would try to sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves with his "We will race tonight!" junk.

If that rain that is on'em right now would just get on down the road they should be good.

Ya'll just pray that the Lord sends all of that rain about 60 miles west...........to the just fertilized lawn of the West Columbia Gamecock!

Or send it down to central GA. The smoke from the wildfires 200 miles south of here has reduced visibility to 1/2 mile around here.

I love how Fox and SPEED keep saying they are confident we will race, but even if the rain stopped now the race wouldn't start until about 9:30 and that would probably put the race ending around 1-1:30 A.M. The time window is running out.

Dale Earnhardt Sr. said it best, "if you're in a drought, build a track and schedule a NASCAR race." Seems to never fail, Darlington hasn't had rain in forever, NASCAR rolls into town and its a monsoon.

It stinks because we have limited night races and 2 in a row have been moved to day races. Oh well, Darlington was meant to run day races anyway.

yeah Darlington was meant to run in the day but in my opinion the racing there has been much more exciting and fun to watch at night. there are many more night races to come though, next 2 weeks at Charlotte are night races so, we will get our fix of nighttime racing, as long as mother nature wants to agree.:dunno:

For those of you scoring at home, WCG's fertilized lawn is getting a good soaking rain now.

Unfortunately for NASCAR fans, it's also raining 60 miles east of my house.

Fantastic!

I'm glad they didn't start the friggin' thing around 10 or 10:30. I don't wanna be up until 2 or 3 then get up at 6:30 for the F1 race.

I was wondering what you would have done since the race wouldn't have ended until well into the night and then the F1 race coming on.
