My boss gave me this book to read, it's about the author Warren St. John who grew up an Alabama fan in the state of Alabama. He takes a sabbatical to travel to all the bama games in an RV and find out what a true fan is, and what makes us raving lunatics and why we are compelled to tear down goal posts, and losing, drown ourselves in bad keg beer, in short why do fans care? It has references to TN fans and TN football I'm on page 52 and the first time this author met the Bear 10/82 it was a Sunday after a loss to TN the first since 1970. The bama fans speak of their hate for the vols and when he travels through Knoxville the year after the National Title he gets flipped off and pulls into a gas station sick of all the orange he sees. The hate fans have for us is great. In reading this it gets me pumped up for college gameday and TN football.
