While the Sal hiring was obviously an error, losing Randolph after game 3 was a huge loss. He makes our D go.

Guys - you've got the wrong Brian Randolph. Ours was only a 3* on Rivals and #32 in the nation at his position, so he is not eligible for the award since he isn't SEC quality.

Yeah, I know, exception to the rule, blah, blah, blah.

His * rating is still hard to understand in light of being on the AJC super 11 and the Gatoraide GA Def POY? Clearly the services undervalued him.

You know what I gathered from that article... We are TIED FOR 1st in the nation in turnovers...

I don't think we stop this week either.. Did you see how EVERY defensive play they came in ripping at the ball... Our defense is gonna be top 20 if not higher at the end of this year..

Good for him. Well deserved. A lot of those guys who are 3* who come out of states like Georgia, Texas, Florida etc where they produce a lot of talent would more than likely easily be 4* in a lot of other states around the country like Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri etc. I'm sure he played against some pretty good competition in high school. Denarius Moore is another one that comes to mind who was a 3* out of Texas but played against some top notch HS competition and was really talented and pretty much ready to play the moment he stepped on campus from what I remember.

Only hope is red zone D. We will not be top 20 in passing or running stats. We will be a bend don't break defense. With our current talent that would be fine by me.

Really impressed with this kid and the energy of our defense as a whole. I still think we lack team speed and it will start to show up but they are playing as a unit and its refreshing to see!

We were a "Bend but don't break" defense under Wilcox, but when it was all said and done we were the 26th ranked defense in the nation that year.
