Please move to a different forum if need be:

I'm in a keeper league with no shot at playoffs. Looking to set up team for next year with up to four keepers. Right now I have Big Ben, R. Moss, and Addai as possible keepers. Also have B. Jacobs and Gates. Been trying to unload Jacobs, but got no takers. The guys in 4th place in the league wants Gates and has suggested S. Smith(NYG). Pretty sure I'd jump at that, but my question for yall is do you think Smith is a keeper for next year, since he's Eli's fav target?

Keep Jacobs...Giants have a banged up OL that required him to make cuts and fancy moves not accustomed to his power running style. They'll fix that in the offseason. Obviously Moss stay's, Keep Gates, and Big Ben. You could trade Gates and Ben for a more passer friendly QB like Matt Schaub.

Hakeem Nicks and Mario will take the receptions from Smith.

Keep Jacobs. NYG will improve and Coughlin likes to run the ball so it will get better. Sometimes you just have to weather the storm.

Depends a little bit on how your league scores its games. Typically RBs are more consistent, hence more valuable, in scoring near average values. WRs, unless the truly elite, are very up and down. Tough trading respectable RBs for respectable WRs.

I just have a hard time justifying a TE as a keeper, and Jacobs with Bradshaw stealing his carries.

Gotta keep Moss, and I'd say trading away Gates is a poor choice. He is still the big end-zone target, plus he's targeted whenever the defense goes to nickel coverage. He's too fast for a linebacker and too strong for a corner. I would not take that trade at all.

Agree, but Big Ben is not a Fantasy QB, so Gates' upside has value to find a better QB

Get rid of Gates and Addi for a better QB option.

Jacobs is not a keeper either.

Moss is the only real keeper you have, so start trading.

Steve Smith is certainly not keeper material.

If someone wants Gates for the rest of the year (and you should be actively shopping him if you have no shot at the playoffs, since you really don't want a TE as a keeper unless you have no choice), sell him for a young, potentially great RB2 at worst.

And, oh yeah, Addai is done.

He may have a big game now and again, but Donald Brown is the guy for the Colts next year.

Trade for younger guys with low value to people still in contention.- McCoy, Donald Brown, Beanie Wells, Crabtree, Sanchez, Stafford, etc.

In my league (non-keeper) I would without a doubt have to go with Randy Moss from that list, but we get lots of extra points for long tds etc...

Here's the curve ball to what yall are saying(THANKS FOR THE HELP BTW!!). Last place in the league owes double fees, so I can't just unload everyone. Teams can keep up to 4 players each year and hold them for 3 years. All keepers(except AP) that would be up for FA have been traded around and are thus no longer FA options. All the players you guys are mentioning will be available in the draft next year. Obviously if Moss is my only keep then I'll be drafting before most, and AP will likely be available b/c dude that has him is in second and going for the title so he probably will hold till the end of the year and let him be a FA.

I thought Ben had been putting up good numbers this year. Depending on how deep the league is.... he could def be a keeper

Get rid of Jacobs and Addai if you can. See if you can get McCoy and/or Donald Brown.

Get Steve Smith (NYG) and/or Hakeem Nicks (Nicks is the future WR star at NYG).

OR just do as suggested above and keep Moss and just do the early draft picks (probably what I would do other then grabbing Nicks).

I have a question for this week. Do I start Kevin Boss or Fred Davis at TE? Giants are home to the Falcons and Washington is @ Dallas. I'm leaning towards Boss but Davis does seem to be the only threat the 'skins have in the passing game.
