Is there any chance the UTAD would explore the possibility of dimming the lights over the fans and focusing more on the court. I understand it really doesn't have any affect on the game, but I personally love the look.

I mean what happens if someone has poor eyesight and cant see as well then trips and breaks their neck or something. They might have grounds to sue UT because they didn't provide adequate light or something. I dunno. It's sad, but this is the world we live in now. Personally, I would like to see it for one game.

If it can be done in Los Angeles and NYC at their BB venues without serious legal repercussions I don't see why Knoxville would be much different. Maybe this is their reasoning though.

I mean I thought of reasons why it couldn't be done and that came to mind. I mean hey, if UT really wants to "go green" maybe that would save some energy haha.

We keep the lights on to keep PeeWee Herman out of TBA

I don't see why not. They do this for concerts, wrestling, etc.. and you've never heard of lawsuits. No reason why we can't

And even if there was a problem with poor visibility in aisles and walks then they could always put small lights on the stairs like a movie theatre does.

The Dean Dome does this and they have even more elderly folks there than we do.
