Random, Thoughts, X,XXIV

Yeah, but people have no idea we are related.

Crazy. I knew about the cancer, now you have me concerned hearing that it's apparently gotten worse. I was great friends with his youngest son in high school. Still participate in his annual march madness bracket challenge. Lol went with the family to see Boone in the state bball playoffs in '99.

I think Phillip is the only one who hasn't had the covid.
Edit: I don't know Mark or Phillip very well at all.

wow. I was even asking about Phil while I was home. No one told me any of this! I mean I didn't dig deep and it was an offshoot question after asking about another mutual friend. They probably didn't even know about the issues with Gary. Thanks for letting me know. This breaks my heart though.

His mom and my mom are sisters. His mom was the oldest of the bunch, and my mom was the youngest. So there's such an age difference there with a lot of my first cousins.
Small world.
But you know what, even as sick as he's been (mom said Sunday or yesterday they found a couple of more spots on his liver she thought), he still goes at it hard with those tomato plants.
There were times during his treatments that he was driving to Nashville to get those treatments and turning around and driving home. He's a tough guy. I never thought so, but he's tough as nails. I guess you do what you have to do.

Definitely a small world, but I remember him as really tough. Praying for him.

I guess he finally tested negative twice for the covid after 2 positives, and they were able to go to Nashville. I'm getting all of this second hand through the family. The covid didn't give him a lot of trouble, so I guess he was really lucky there. Anyway, he had another liver biopsy yesterday and a bunch of MRIs scheduled for today and tomorrow. Because you know him, I will just send you updates as I hear things. I'll quote you on here so you will see it.

appreciate it. Glad the Covid didn't bother him too much.

Truff... the bedroom window stays open all winter. I have a down blanket and a quilt, First 5 mins is hell, and then you just go into a deeeeepppp sleep. My Griz pals taught me this.
I used to have my bed under a window, and it was always a few inches open. I would wake up in winter with snow on my pillow and in my hair. You’re right, best sleep ever.

As a Cali boy from earthquake country, Hubs put an end to that (no sleeping under a window.) 😢

I grew up in an old house up north...close to the end of the world.... home built in the pre-insulation in the walls fad. Winter time I would have 1/4 " frost on the inside of window. Learned how to sleep in that, and it never really leaves you. Need the cold.

How are the bears supposed to get back in if you close the winders too far???
They have a key. Come on man! Before I gave them keys, they tore the freaking doors down...all of em. This is much better now. But I hate it that they come home directly from the dump. Place smells sometimes.

Paging @DrRosenRosen . My nephew decided he wanted a PS5 for Christmas. Any idea where I can get one without paying secondary market prices?
