I think there's a problem internally between these two guys...It's clear that there is some animosity between these two. Did anyone see RS scream at TT when they had to call a timeout with 12 guys in the huddle? In my opinion I think RS is jealous of TT with the way he interacts with the players and how well he recruits..especially since TT was promoted during the offseason. I know this is a touchy subject. RS to me feels threaten by TT. Believe it or not some coaches do have that animosity, remember Buddy Ryan and Kevin Gilbride fight on the sideline during a game. I think it's going to happen soon between these to guys. TT handled it well, he basically just ignored RS and looked away. Cool, Calm and Collected. RS wants to pass and of course TT wants to run the ball. BIG CONFLICT. You heard it here first. I seen it last year and I see it this year..

You seen the same thing i did! Over and over again, argue it here has CPF and staff fired! Trooper IMO is the next long term asst coach at UT!

Though i will admit i dont believe CPF buys into him just yet. TT will be the next best thing for us or next best thing to leave us.

I know for a fact he was all over the practice field today, Yes that includes telling our backs they have blood in their eyes. Special Teams he was almost drown out by the other coaches screaming position!

If I was TT, I would be pissed too. He has done a great job getting the backs ready and when they are effective, We go to the air...

Just my opinion. I think TT could call a great game plan for this offense because he is a new blood coach and that is what the thing going in football today. All of these old plays have got old every since 1999. I just want somebody but RS calling plays :cross:

If Trooper started to call the offense everybody on here would be pissed at HIM in a couple of weeks. Trooper's not going to start calling the offense and there is no feud between the two. Anyone who has ever coached a game has gotten into an argument with another coach on the sideline. Randy felt he had a good play called and Trooper had the wrong people in the game. Emotions are high on the sideline and people get pissed at each other. By the time they got back to the lockeroom it was forgotten.

Besides...If Trooper was calling the offense he'd be calling Phillip's O just like Randy is so it wouldn't matter. The coaches don't make bad passes and reads and run wrong routes anyway.

Amen - well said. people around here can't seem to figure out that the play calling gets better when the players make the plays in the first place. it is a building block approach- if the players would get on the same page and make the easy plays then the Coaches can open things up more and call the plays that everyone wants to see. personally I don
't see a difference in the play calling between past/present coaching staffs - I see a difference in the coaching of the players - they don't seem to be on the same page at all

im sure trooper has a hard time fitting into the traditional UT coaching staff.

trooper's attitude and motivation is above most of the coaching staff i have seen over the years.

fire sanders, keep trooper..open the OC to the public and see what kind of resumes start rolling in.

it will only be a matter of time before trooper becomes a head coach somewhere else. he is too good at what he does to be surrounded by a coaching staff too old fashioned for his flare and emotion foir the game.

Trooper is a very good recruiter, I would hate to loser him from that respect alone.

I'm not sure who got Crompton here, if that was sanders or not. I think Sanders should just be demoted to QB's coach, he would be fine in that capacity, just not ready to be an OC.

move him and chavis back to the press box. things seemed to go down hill after they started staying on the field. maybe sanders/chavis isnt seeing what we all see untill sunday game review.

Chavis does just fine on the sidelines. I repeat 16 points and less than 250 yards total offense says Chavis and his defense did just fine. They would have done better if the offense had kept them off the field in the 3rd QTR.
