:nono: he's taking the fall for the whole stinking UT football season. This in no way means he is flying solo. Every coach contirbuted just as much as the other. I wouldn't be the o/c at UT for anything. There are too many quacky bandwagon UT fans.Anyone with common sense knows Randy Sanders is just trying to do his part , trying to right the wrong, trying to appease several hundred thousand angry vol fans.If it came out Fulmer fired him, then everyone would shift all this crummy season's woes to solely to Fulmer. I have more respect for Sanders this time than anyone else on the UT staff.

So the D staff has done a bad job? I like RS and I hate this for my school. I'm sure that the whole staff and the players hate this. But RS job was to coodinate the O and the O has been struggling and under performing. The potential for this to happen is why these guys are paid well. I watched the press conference and listened to Vol calls last night and I could see the hurt in CPF and RS face. This was not a decision that was made lightly and if you recall many Vol fans have been critical of CPF for not getting rid of assist. Coaches quicker.

So what is Fulmer's job? If it's to polish an area that's not working, then he certainly didn't do his job. When do you blame the OC for calling a good play that doesn't work? RS doesn't miss blocks, drop passes, fumble or make bad passes. All he does is coach the QB's and call the plays. It's not his fault that the QB's are rotating. That's Fulmer. It's not his fault that Rick Clausen can't throw a football more than 30 yards.

Absolutely....Tennessee has failed as a whole, the defense is a part of that. And while they have been excellent, they are part of the body, and it is failing!

I vote for us to make an offer to Gruden, he is tough, and doesn't smile and clap when we screw up. The snarl would scare the s@# out of most kids!

Randy Sanders, alias, fall guy.The defense has probably 5 nfl draft picks this year. Great players make great coaches. Our offense has 1/3 of the talent compared to the defense.

Why would Gruden leave the NFL to coach at UT? Because he has ties? Please.

So Wes I guess if CPF would Woody Hayes the players or Bob Knight them then you would be happy. Not for me. I like a coach that understands that a loose player plays better. Example, last year Gator game and Wilhoit. Besides, what goes on at practice is a lot different than games. I am glad we have a coach that shows class on the sideline.
