Shannon wasn't even on the list of DC candidates. Not even considered. It was complete message board fodder. Not even a shred of truth.
His agent tried to stoke up speculation that he was in play for several DC jobs, and he never even interviewed for any of them.

I hope you realize that Randy Shannon wasn't on an official list or an unofficial list. Tennessee had zero interest. Zero. His agent contacted UT. They never even responded.
I don't care if you have a source that says otherwise, I like my source better. I posted here from the first time it was brought up here that he wasn't even being considered, even while some, I believe including you, said it was a done deal. UT never spoke with him or any of his representatives.
I never said it was a done deal. But you and your source are wrong or naive if you don't think contact was made. Albeit it was made through backchannels and involved Dooley getting his arse canned after the Lexington debacle.
