Ranking All BCS National Champions

It's Bleacher Report. As a source of journalistic information it is about as credible as most of the irrational posts here at VolNation.

If that other list had '98 Tennessee ranked higher than '95 Nebraska, it's no more credible than Bleacher Report.

I said that I liked his ranking more than Bleacher Report's; I didn't say that I agreed with it. If I am attempting to exercise true objectivity, I would say that the three strongest college football teams that I ever saw were the 1971, 1983 and 1995 Nebraska teams, in no particular order. I would assert, however, that there is a heck of a lot more research and analysis that has gone into Billingsley's rankings than those of Bleacher Report. Here is a link to his methodology: http://www.cfrc.com/Archives/ISO_08.htm. It is my belief, although I cannot prove it, that Billingsley's system awards SEC schools for their greater overall strength-of-schedule. That minor difference is the only reason I can see him having our '98 team ranked higher than the '95 Cornhuskers.

I think that the '98 Tennessee team should be a top 10 team. Not by any means higher then the '95 Huskers or Some of the late 80's Miami Teams.
