....with money at their disposal. How would you rank the schools in the SEC with money used towards the football programs?

I am having a friendly argument with and Arkansas fan regarding this topic and he says that due to Walmart, Tyson, and JB Hunt, they have the most money. Just curious.

Hilarious...Wal-Mart must be sending blankets to the Arkansas players, they sure don't seem to be funding their program.

Phil KNight's imprint is all over Oregon, never heard of Wal-Mart being a Hogs backer.

Money PUT INTO the football program or money EARNED BY the football program? UGA certainly has the highest revenues.

Not so much. The Waltons, Stephens, Tysons, Hunts, Lindseys, etc provide hordes of money.

I was wondering if there were any stats on line about this so I did a quick google search and, while I couldn't find hard numbers about donations to athletic programs in the SEC, I did find this...

U. Arkansas athletic donation minimums to increase in 2011|UWIRE

Which included this quote... “The reality is over the past decade we’ve lost ground to our competition in the Southeastern Conference,” said Jeff Long, Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics. “At Arkansas, we will always do more with less funding than some of our competitors, but we must close the gap between our budget and those at the top of the SEC."

Sounds like Arky isn't as flush with cash as your buddy thinks.
