I talk about the SEC being down but suddenly the SEC is moving up the ranks in the lists that really matter (RPI and ELO)
Auburn really jumped up in those lists as their SOS really jumped because of #1 Tennessee and their one victory.
Arkansas' RPI remains a concern for their fans, but they play Auburn this week. I suspect the winner of that series has to have an inside track on national seed.
I thought Auburn should have moved up in the D1 poll.
Florida's RPI and ELO defies gravity due to SOS of OOC schedule.
Vanderbilt's RPI makes as much sense as Dallas Baptists in weeks past. The Dores are now staring at a #2 seed at a likely ACC school

I tried to make regional projections and that's hard.
I have 3 SEC teams as national seeds. (Tennessee, Auburn and Arkansas) Auburn and Arky play this weekend but I don't think either team will lose any series after that.

Knowing the NCAA often likes regionalized super regional opponents. I think Virginia pay be looking at the last hosting bid and be paired against Tennessee.
I also think Tennessee is looking at some pretty bad 3 and 4 seeds for once (think Coppin and Alabama State at #4 and an overrated Connecticut as #3. Leaving NC State as #2. They have great hitters but I think our pitching would kill them.

Dallas Baptist is hard to figure out. Beat a lot of Big 12 teams but lost several series to teams that we would pound midweek.

I’m predicting Auburn takes 2 of 3 from Arkansas.

Agreed . . . Awhbarn I believe will be playing with a very "pissed off" mentality, after their weekend in Knocksville, and a pesky approach at the plate (look at our pitch counts) . . . They are a very good team, they just need to strengthen their bullpen some-way, some-how. I really don't think they will fold like our other opponents have after we have pounded their souls out, see Ole Piss, Mizzery, Gators, Candy-Boys, Gamechickens, etc.

On top of that . . . I HATE the piggies! LOL

If we're the overall number one seed, we should get the overall worst #2 seed. Right?

I think Stanford and Virginia Tech are the 2022 version of 2021 NC State. I don’t want to see Oregon State, Stanford, Oklahoma State, Miami, Virginia Tech, or FSU in the post season.

There are a lot of very good teams out there this year. But NOBODY, AND I MEAN NOBODY WANTS US! In the Super Regional we'll play a great team - but imagine how teams outside of the SEC would feel about coming to Knoxville? They'll feel like they got screwed. So bring em on!
