Nothing really that notable. I started racing dirt bikes in the late sixties when 18 - Moto-Cross, Hare Scrambles, Flat tracking, Cross Country. I won a few, no big ones. Oh, almost forgot, my first foray was drag racing a '57 Chevy in high school. I bought it myself when 16 working in a gas station. Never won a thing with it!

Then after my knees and back started giving up I quit the bikes after about ten years. I then became interested in road racing as I lived near Mid-Ohio. I worked there as a Flagman/Corner worker for about six years, and ran SCCA club events known as Solos, hill climbs and Gymkhanas. I ran some Showroom Stock races.

Then I met some guys who ran enduro karts. These are the ones you lay down in and run for one hour on regular road courses like Mid-Ohio, Pocono, Charlotte, Road America, Daytona, etc. They talked me into trying one out at Mid-Ohio, and after a few familiarization laps, I was turning quicker times than the guy who owned it. They entered me in a race the next day where you started by order of entry date. I started 43rd in a field of 44. At the end of the second lap I was in 13th. Man that was a blast. We would go down the 3500 foot back straight with at least 15 karts in the lead pack all touching bumbers at over 100mph. I ended up 5th after wearing out my front tires pushing it so hard. I ran those for about 3 years until my back got too bad to get in and out of them.

Like I said, nothing notable.

This is the only one I can find at this time. I have several slides, but don't know how to post them. This was at Mid-Ohio MX Park about 1972-73.
