I just heard for the first time yesterday he may have had connections with the Mafia while head of the SAG, and made his millions with a deal with one of the studios. He was also friends with Sinatra I believe. Anyone have anyomore insight to any of this? I found it all very fasinating to say the least.

I have an organized crime book I had in college that goes in depth about this subject.

Nothing hard to nail Reagan with, but man, it makes you wonder.

Reagan was just a humble fisherman who was blessed with many friends.

That's how I felt. Nothing concrete but one of those things that makes you go hmmm.

Back then you'd either be tied to either the Mafia or the Communist Party just by associating with guilds, unions, and many in Hollywood.

From what I understand he aligned with the Mafia to fight Communsim for the gov't whil he was the SAG pres. And if memory serves Cosa Nostra is not fond of Communism.

I've read a dozen or so books on the Mob, and this is the first time I've ever heard Reagan's name mentioned in the same sentence as LCN.
