I have been following VOLS since 1968. This has been a great season, coach Heupel has done a outstanding job in 2 short years. Tired of all the posts about playoffs, we lost that chance 2 weeks ago! I am ecstatic about a NY6 bowl !!!! So, instead of all the complaining about who is ranked ahead of us, just enjoy this!!!! Orange Bowl looks great to me!!!!! Go VOLS!!!!!

Agreed - successful seasons don't always have to end in a playoff bid. This team has some huge wins this year, Alabama, LSU, Florida, Pitt, even Kentucky and Vandy. I don't remember a game as exciting as Alabama ever. It's best to enjoy each win as it happens. Playing in the Orange Bowl is something we would have been ecstatic over before the season started. Let's tune out the negative stuff and savor this for all it's worth!

Lots to be grateful for, no doubt. But it's also okay to be a little bit disappointed that we came close to so much more and fell short. You can feel both ways at the same time.

When we're all done sorting it out, I think we'll look back on a great season that exceeded any realistic expectations.

Personally, I don't know what all this fuss is over where we are ranked ahead/behind someone else. We have a secondary that couldn't stop anyone so what do they think will change if we line up against any of the top ranked teams with a decent QB ? I think getting blown out by opposing teams in the national spotlight hurts recruiting more than helps. I say enjoy the great run we had, and try to get better for next year.

Can be happy for the most successful season in a couple of decades and discuss the playoffs along with the vagaries and shortcomings of the committee.

The team will most likely take a step back next year, but as long as JH and crew can keep the recruits coming, I think the program is in good shape

I don’t think we’ll be missing a lot of chances for the playoffs for foreseeable future.
