Realistically no big surprises. I said 8-4 at the get go. UGA really is our bowl game.

Yeah. This happens every year Tennessee is on the brink of greatness. Last year we were ranked #1 and crapped the bed against south Carolina.

It's been happening as far back as I can remember. In 2001, we lost to an injured back up quarterback in the SEC championship game to lose our spot in the national championship game.

We're back to being a program that Bama, UF, and UGA mark as an automatic win for them before the season begins.

Yes, they lost to a backup quarterback, a backup running back and a backup wide receiver, blew a halftime lead, put a new coach on the map in the SEC, some guy named Nick Saban, LSU head coach at the time. Missed a run at the Rose Bowl and a second national championship in 4 years,

Soooo ... you predicted 8-4 from the get go ... really? A quick review of your past posts since July you said ...

July 4th - You were looking for an undefeated season.
September 1st - You thought we would finish in the top 5-6.
October 1st - You said if we lose 2 SEC games that would be a waste of talent.
October 16th - You honestly thought we would finish in the top 5 in three categories(???)

Hmmm ... I didn't find any prediction of an 8-4 season. Maybe you've confused your recollection with that of others.

Just sayin'.

Im excited for the future plus probably have a better chance at beating UGA now.
We were at best an 8-9 win team. I did expect some improvement on defense but should have known better with Banks. He is clueless and Heupel missed Golesh more than he realized

GA being the bowl game is about right. It will be the last big game and there's not that much to play for. I figure players will opt out of games like the music city or mayonnaise bowls. Bowls outside the playoffs have become exhibition in nature akin to spring practice games anyway. I guess we can look forward to trying to make into a bigger playoff and meaningful field next year.

What is the deal with banks laying off the blitz. So many soft coverages today. So many zones.

At this point....bring it.

Let's f*** UGA up in an upset for the ages and worry about next year next year.

At least it's a home game that most people can't afford to attend. LOL

This team has had the same shortcomings all year long. It's going to catch up one more time next week I'm afraid. Here is hoping for a good bowl game.

Makes no sense with the style of play we play offensively. You look at 2 of the 3 losses (Florida and Mizzou) and both teams have dominated the first quarter in terms of plays and time of possession. We can deal with some big plays. The 8-10 minute drives get us completely out of our game b

I'm really concerned about next year.
I really don't think it will look the same. Milton was not the killer for the team tonight, but more points were needed. The offense actually broke even at 0 tonight when you count the 6 they gave up. Milton executed the game plan pretty damn well. Missouri crowded the run and played soft trusting they were physical enough to make plays and they were.
