Realistically, what are our chances of winning out?

Given what has happened at Mizzou, I think we've got a slight chance there. I don't think their d is anything more than mediocre. Same for Auburn. I think we beat Vandy and Kentucky. 3 out of these 4 games will be close, imo.

Man, your avatar appears so small on my phone that I get mad when I see it thinking it's a Bama fan coming here to trash talk. I realize it now, so sorry for mistaking you for that.

To your question: It feels good to have a shot at 8-4, but 3 of the games are not automatic. I hope we win at least 3, but these next 2 are going to be a fight.

I think we beat Mizzou. Their bubble just burst. Auburn may hang 100 on us though. West is severely better than the east again this year. 7-5, IMO.

Depends on what team shows up. We came out to battle against UGA and SCar and we tried not to get blown out vs Bama and the Ducks. I really think this team feels like we should win all 4 and will play very well!

True fans and ilk, please note that the "100" comment is hyperbole.

(I realize I will have to come back to this thread and define hyperbole but am too lazy at the moment.)

Mizz- we'll need some breaks, on the road, and they've been in the same system longer. Odds are not good.

Auburn- at home, similar teams, they have the talent edge and are only a couple of years from a NC with the same coach. Must win imo.

Vandy- they will blitz us all day and have some success, but its a 20 point win for us at home.

UK- new streak.

I think our chances are better than they have been. These are all beatable teams. I'm glad we have Auburn and Vandy at home. That will make a huge difference.

depends on who starts at qb dobbs or Worley for the Missouri game. also depends on if the offense wants to show up for the entire first half or not. which they have not done in any road game this season. the defense depends on the offense to sustain drives.

I was thinking after the South Carolina game get one of Bama, Mizzou, Auburn and we have a great shot at 7.. Missouri and Auburn are beatable, although they have a lot of speed at the skill positions. Like someone already said their defenses aren't anything special..

If all we were trying to do was not get blown out vs O and A then we did a piss poor job.

I give our odds of winning out a very slim chance. I think we split Auburn and Mizzou then beat Vandy and UK. Just don't think we have enough in the tank to win all four.

I like our chances to beat Mizzou but it's an away game so there's that.

I like that Auburn is a home game, but they have the best offense in the SEC imo, so there's that.

Both are tough games, both can be won, but if I had to choose I'd say we have a better chance at beating Mizzou than Auburn.

Auburn's defensive line is improving each week. They have some veterans that have really stepped up, plus Adams and Lawson who are absolute monsters.

I don't think Auburn will handle the crowd noise very good at Neyland. Home feild advantage VOLS win this one.

Auburn in way better than people here are giving them credit for. Mizzou is winnable, Vandy and UK we should beat, but Auburn is going to be hard to beat.

My prediction

7-5 with us catching a few breaks @ Mizzou

1-3 down the road. That makes 5-7 for the year. We will beat Kentucky but they will make it close. If you think Auburn or Mizzou are beatable by us, you are not looking honestly at either team. They have much better athletes on their team. And they have depth.

(#1) We will need to get Dobbs settled at the q.b. position.

(#2) The defense will have to play lights out, even with out Randolph & Brewer.

(#3) We will need a little luck and have a few plays go our way.

If Dobbs starts I think we can win. If Worley starts I don't think we win. I'll say that for all the games except maybe Kentucky.
GO VOLS!

I think it's a 5-0 finish with a bowl win.
O-line will dominate at least the next 4.
Defense will not be intimidated from here on out.
First win against a ranked team on the road since 04 or 05 coming up.
Butch gets it!!

I think 3-1. I say we beat Mizzou, Vandy and Kentucky. Mizzou is mostly toss up but I think they've begun their crash back down to earth.

I do not believe we beat Auburn; I think they are legit. But the game is at home and if we in at Mizzou we'll definitely be more fired up.
