Realistically, what are our chances of winning out?

be lucky to beat vandy and uk and make it to a bowl

Love my alma mater, but here's my realistic prediction.

Aurburn = 90% confident we'll lose
Vandy = 70% confident we'll lose again
Kentucky = Only 50% confident in a win because by then we'll have shot our hope at a bowl game

I honestly hope I'm wrong.

Loosing to Vandy last year was bad, but at least it was on the road.

If Vandy where to win this year, in Neyland Stadium, in front of the home crowd, even if the game is much, much closer, this could potentially be a program crippling event.

I was hoping Tennessee would split Mizzou and Auburn before, but with Auburn being very good, very fast, I'm now saying they go 0fer on that one. As of now I'm still holding onto my 6-6 prediction, because Vandy and KY are definitely closer to the Vols' level, and they seem to be ok on those games. Right now, depth is a huge concern and until that grows a bit, it will be rocky in my opinion. Hopefully after next years recruiting class, it has improved enough that they can squeeze out maybe a couple more wins.

Zero chance of winning out. I can still hope but the barn will run all over us! We will struggle to beat Vandy and KY. I hope we pull the other 2 wins and get any kind of extra game for the team !

I do not think with Worley out we can win out. I am not sure we can get to 6 wins with Dobbs in.

I am not knocking Dobbs but he is a freshman and is going to struggle and we might as well get ready to watch as he goes through his growing pains. .

Dobbs didn't have a chance to make a difference last nite and won't get one against AU either.

I'm not knocking Worley but let's not kid ourselves into thinking he was playing at a level no one else could match.

With the way we play on the road, I'm not ready to say KY is a win. If we head into KY having lost to AU and Vandy with no shot at a bowl, I wouldn't be surprised to lose to KY too.

I am not saying Worley is better just that he gave us our best chance of winning out. Dobbs is going to be fine but he is also going to have growing pains and although we were not in the game last night if we were his 3 turnovers would have killed us.

Better title for this thread would be. "What are the chances of winning 6 and getting to a bowl game". That is going to be a chore for this team. They're just not very good..

It was a 4 game season before yesterday, our record is where we thought it would be at this point. They have played above their potential at times and way below at times. Question is can this staff get the fire and focus back this week. We will see. Still alot to play for and 7-5 is still doable and 6-6 is the goal. Bowl game, and top 5 class coming.

I agree man. However, we do play a lot better at home, and aub hasn't played nearly the schedule we have. I would not be surprised if we pulled an upset, but I know there is very little chance. If we go 6-6 and make a bowl everyone should really be happy. Butch has been put in a tough situation. Consider he's a new HC of a program that's been rode hard and put away wet, and an ad who screwed us with this schedule. 6-6, and ranked top 5 in recruiting is awesome.

5-7 starting to be possible
