Do I think we have our best chance to win in a long time? Yes! But let’s be realistic, Alabama is ahead of us in talent ability overall. Top 3 recruiting classes every year with many being #1. Talent doesn’t always win but it sure helps. I realistically think we have about 30% chance of winning. We have to have some breaks and minimize our miscues. Of course my opinion is just that, mine-and Tennessee nor Alabama could care less.

30% 🤔
Why not 40 or 45%??
Hell, 15 percent lol!?

Where's the logic in those percentages?

Thank goodness some of our fans can stay grounded. Why go through life with some periods of happiness when you can be reasonable and miserable? So glad all of our “realistic” fans can piss on the parade.
I’m hardly miserable but whatever

Because Bryce Young is 70 %....

That means Tennursee has a 30% chance of winning 🤪

Something tells me Alabama couldn't beat LSU 40-13.

You probably took a beating and the only cane I will pull out is the title of the thread. You assume that YOU haver a unique ability to declare what "reality" is in this situation and game. You don't. There is an absolute reality... but short of being God none of us are good enough to rightly discern it.

That said, Bama has more talent overall. Is it enough that UT's development and preparation cannot compensate and overcome? That's one of those pieces of "reality" you and I don't know. But they have more raw talent. The reason that might and likely will matter is if/when the headline players checkmate each other... one of those guys who plays in the shadows will make a play that changes the game. It isn't necessarily a matter of whether Hooker is better than Young or UT's WR's will make a bigger difference than Gibbs. The game could come down to a walk on running down the sideline on a kickoff. So is that guy good enough to make a great play.

PS- for those going nuts over the 70%... I believe that's what FPI says. Of course FPI said LSU was the 57% likely winner last week.

We know that it is still Alabama. We know their roster is stacked with stars. We know that if you looked at this matchup on paper, we are big underdogs. But today, this Third Saturday in October, it’s about heart and taking it to Alabama EVERY. SINGLE. PLAY. with a 102,000 of us cheering the team on to victory. It’s about taking your man one on one and being better than him today. Because guess what, WE DONT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE WHOLE STATE OF ALABAMA.

A play here and there ,that LSU game would be alot closer than that .. We have NO pass defense..I've never seen a secondary this bad . But we are supposed to beat Bama with Saban and a Heisman trophy winner QB. I understand the hope and happiness after all these years but every one ignores this and think we will just run over bama ..

And? A play here or there and 2019 lsu doesn't curb stomp everyone that year
A play here or there means florida might actually be within a galaxy of Nebraska in 1996
That can be applied to literally every game and every sport.

I think everyone here clearly understands all of that, but what is the point of throwing cold water at this point?

It's game day, time to party. Just leave it all out there and let the chips fall.

Forget water...throw gasoline, and a match. Light the Gumps (and the scoreboard) up!
