Elliott is pretty astute but to keep calling last year's talent "limited" or "middling" is nonsense. Hooker wouldn't be a late first, early second round
NFL pick, as projected, if he was middling. He's talented. Doesn't mean he will succeed in the NFL--plenty of talented QBs haven't (indeed, most of the first-round QB picks over the last 10 years have been NFL busts). We'll see. His point might apply to Hyatt a bit more, as he did benefit to some degree from our schemes, but he's more talented that Elliott thinks. Who knows if anybody will succeed in the NFL--there are a lot of variables.
