There will be quite a few big time football prospects at that game and according to the fb coaching staff the visitors were blown away by the atmosphere at the Memphis game.

At least we are disapointed with the season so far for many years between the closing of Stokely Center and the hiring of CBP most could care less about basketball.

We all hate Florida and beating them will make us all feel a little bit better.

The football recruit's being their will be the only reason for the crowd to be getting loud.

I'll be there. I'll be loud, but hopefully in a positive way. This game just may be the season. If we lose then I think UT is a lock for the tournament. The NIT.

Call me crazy but I think UT will put it together tomorrow and will give us something to cheer about. We will beat UF in a great game.

I've been telling myself that since the 2nd Gonzaga game but guess what!? It has'nt happened yet & the season is getting shorter & shorter.

I'll be there cheering for the coaches and recruits when they come in....but the main reason I want to cheer is for this basketball team. Pearl has given us alot to cheer about in basketball since he arrived. I am not stopping now because they can't put it together....they need us cheering for them loud. We need to support this team in the bad and good because during Pearl's time....it has 80% or better been good. Go Vols!

I agree with you. Pearl has brought nothing but excitement to the area for over 3 years. I am not going to get down on them now. Yes it is frustrating but we need to cheer the team on. Game Day in Knoxville before Pearl came here....I don't think so. He has brought much to UT now let's support this team tomorrow night.

Sorry. . . .can't resist. Don't mean this in a demeaning way, but:

Apostrophes belong in possessives. Plurals. . . .not so much. "Recruits."

Their = someone's stuff. There = a place.

On the topic at hand: if you need a reason to be loud, then don't go. Basketball fans, Tennessee fans. . . .get loud.

I agree....go to cheer on the basketball team. I can't believe we have over 20,000 in the house and sometimes it is just so quite. Hopefully having game day there will make everyone get loud!

Lol - some moron in the game day preview a few minutes ago fell over while leaning forward trying to cheer close to the camera. I wonder how far he fell... the camera moved passed him quickly so couldn't tell.

And I'm glad game day seems to be a Pat Summitt suck up fest(sarcasm). Not like we don't catch enough crap from rivals about having our court named after here and being a women's basketball school.

The Season is over?

There are:
- 11 SEC games left
- 4 possible games in the SEC Tournament
- 6 possible games in the NCAA Tournament
- Current Record 10-7
- Possible Record 31-7

31 and 7 with a SEC Tourney Win and NCAA Championship wouldn't be bad! Not likely, but no reason to give up hope just yet.

We have a few things that need to be changed:

1) Hopson: Either has to be benched, or needs to take it to the hole 100% of his shots. Dodging the rafters on a three pointer isn't working. With that, he'll need to hold on the ball better and not air ball free throws.

2) Smith: Considered the NBA last year? His 17.2 ppg are deceiving. Tyler scores all his points in the last 5 minutes when we are either down by 20, or up by 15. He needs to be more of an impact during the game.

3) Chism: Needs to stay consistent with how he's played the past few games. If your going to rely on bigs, they have to score 20+ points a game.

4) Negedu: HAS to play more! His preseason grade was the same as Hopson's, but he's only played a small fraction of what Hopson has played. In the few minutes he's got this year he's been a beast!

5) JP Prince: One of the best scorers around the basket we have, and has shown to be a decent free throw shooter. He has got to stop making stupid mistakes, and not take jump shots. Him and Hopson need to only drive it to the hole.

6) Maze: Regression has killed him. When he's on the court, he's main/only role is to move the ball around. He's such a non-threat at the moment I don't see how Pearl can play him in big games.

Winning Starting Line Up:
Smith - Chism - Negedu - Hopson - Prince

BECAUSE IT'S FLARRRR-DUUUH!!!!

This team isn't dead yet regardless of what some people think. The Gameday crew did a good job drawing similarities between UT, ND, and FL from a couple of years ago on losing streaks/confidence.

We've played much better defense of late and the second half Wed. night and Negedu could be the what helps us turn the season back around tonight! The offense will come back around..no one was complaining about us being a bad shooting team when we beat two Big East teams.

We as fans need to bring the noise all night no matter what section you're in! BP continues to give us "firsts" at TN and today is another!!!!

GO VOLS!!!!!
