TN has 4 seniors and a total of zero of them look like they can play in the NBA right now.

Bruce Pearl as a coach shows that he has no plan B for what to do when his team cannot hit 3 pointers.

TN as a team looked incapable of playing defense against a team with decent PGs. This spells trouble against UF, SC and UK in the East.

I will reassess where we are after January 5th. I will also reassess where the rest of the conference is.

I am hoping Sidney is cleared so Miss. State can be a great team. I am hoping Ole Miss beats Huggins so I can laugh at WVU.

I cannot believe that Florida is as bad as they looked against Richmond. I am also sure they are not as good as I thought they were after they beat MSU.

I cannot believe that Vanderbilt is as bad as they looked against WKU. I still think they will make the tournament and I believe Stallings will help Ogilvy rediscover himself as a man. He is playing like he needs to be on the transplant list for a heart and some balls.

By January 5th we will know a ton more about all of these teams than we know today.

TN will not go 1-4 in their next 5 and the people who are saying the SEC will get only 3 in the tournament are going to look dumb in March.

Indeed. These upcomming games are as important as important gets in looking at Pearl and his team. To see them get slammed is nothing compared to how they respond when up against some of the toughest teams they will face all season very soon.

Totally agree when the Vol start SEC play we will really see what they are made of. Right now the guard play MUST improve to go anywhere in the SEC

Though I will deny saying that if asked.

I knew Florida was suspect and the MSU win was fools gold. I think their decent but just about as overrated as Tennessee. The future changes though because Billy D is an amazing recruiter and coach. As long as he coaches Florida, they will be a threat.

I am very displeased that the TN guys were out on the town in LA Friday night. Maybe that is me being an idiot. If they had beaten O'Neill down I would not mind if they were hungover, but to lose like they did and to know it was after a night on the town just hacks me off.

I still despise O'Neill. He is great at X's and O's but when his team was getting their biggest win by far in his era of coaching all his players looked like they were attending a funeral. Sad way to go through life. The bench when they were up twenty had not a smiling face.

I took the day off yesterday from this.

Where are you getting the team was out on the town Friday night?

What does a smiling face have to do with a 20-point beatdown?

I am embarrassed by the USC beatdown on Saturday. I also hate being overrated at the beginning of the season. I have certainly been a "Slurper" for the past few years, but I am now reconsidering his coaching abilities. Hopefully Pearl can get his head in the game and out of our player's you know whats before Memphis.

This post looks like nothing more than a lot of wishing and hoping to me.

Given your screen name, you might find a less suggestive description than slurper. Just looking out for a sister.
