Agreed. I just read that our coaches are heading to Texas to talk to interview some coaches at the coaches' convention Saturday.

Kippy Brown isn't interested in us..

Ron Middleton of the Tampa Bay Bucs turned us down..

Georgia Tech's Curtis Modkins was a name mentioned along with Murray State's Joe Pannunzio  ..

Also, Trooper could move to WR coach and we hire a new RB coach.

So is this all the progress that we have made? It's fairly disappointing if so.

Soldinger, the recently fired Running Backs Coach should be considered. He is a local icon in high school sports in south florida and could help us in recruiting in that talent rich area...perhaps move Trooper to receivers coach. Unfortunately, Soldinger has been in the Miami area most of his life so he may not want to move to the hills this late in the game. Still the other three offensive coaches could be looked at for the same reason..recruiting. I'm sure that these coaches didn't forget how to coach and there is alot of good years under thier belts.

His track record as WR coach @ UT. This is the guy who developed the great recievers back when we were wide reciever U.

Willie Gault
Tim McGee
Joey Clinkscales
Anthony Miller
Anthony Morgan
Terrance Cleveland
Thomas Woods
Alvin Harper
Carl Pickens
Corey Fleming
Craig Faulkner

Any of these guys have kids of college age or upcoming? Cloning?

Personally, I wouldn't mind having some of that South Florida speed wearing orange.

Don't know the guy from Murray State but isn't that where a guy by the name of Frank Beamer started, so what does the size of the school matter. Heck, didn't they laugh when Tressel was hired at Ohio St because he was from Youngstown State?

Good point. Like I said, I don't know much about him.

Just read where Kippy interviewed for the Houston job.
It appears he is bent on staying NFL. I like how we didnt hire the next guy walking by, But we really need to finalize the staff. Signing Day Feb 1st and spring practice starts March 2nd.

Has there been anymore word on Jay Graham joining JRS at MTSU? :realmad:
