Pig and Croom have their moments, but just not enough consistency from the whole group.

Pig is the most consistent receiver we have right now, although North is definitely becoming the big play receiver.

Croom is improving but has had many drops this year.

But he is definitely getting better and deserves to play.

I think a lot of us have been spoiled by Patterson, Hunter, Da'Rick, ZRogers, DMo, GJones the past few years too..

I hope you're right, but I think he's going to miss his chance with new bodies on the way. He just has way too many stretches during the games that he's non-existent. But, I'll be the first to say our QB play is a huge part of the problem with delivering catchable balls.

and yes my mother was a teacher and passed away 20 years ago and she still agrees you are a dolt for not knowing the difference

I think its clear that Dobbs will be a stud..........he just needs to get his timing w/ the receivers down, as he made some tight throws but the balls were dropped......GO FWD w/ him the rest of the season

I know the difference smart guy, simply a misspelling. For a minute, I thought I was on a football message board, not writing a dissertation. But thank you for your pointless criticism of an omission of a letter on a word. My guess, she's better off than having to deal with such an insufferable jack wagon of a son...

A QB that can hit a guy In Stride with some consistency would help alot too.

Y'all are being a lot easier on Croom than I would. That alligator arming early in the game was inexcusable and let his QB and team down. I like the kid, but I think he needs to be mentally conditioned, so to speak, by the coaching staff to step up in big times. Mentally conditioned till he pukes and then mentally condition again. He has the talent and body to take over games, but it seems he just can't be consistent or over perform.

Of course, I'm still pissed about today so I would probably make my mom run steps for saying "that Mal Moore guy seems like he would've been a nice man" on one if the many occasions when Vary and Gerne were gushing their love for all things Tide.

I'm suddenly remembering why that judge banned me from talking or typing within the 48 weeks following a loss to that Godforsaken craphole school a few years ago.

I don't think we are using Pig the right way. He should be used in a Welker type of way. Let him use his speed to get open on short routes and let him use his speed to make plays. Pearson and Helm cannot come quick enough.

Disagree. Croom had Imo his best game as a vol and North is a total freak. Even Blanc had a big reception. The only guy who looked terrible was josh Smith. Johnson had one drop but also a nice catch. Downs had the one play where he fell down also. But the just weren't out on the field much it seemed like.

According to the stats posted above (I assume are right, don't know) Croom had 2 catches for 12 yards with a long of 7. Add in the fact that he killed an early drive with an inexcusable effort, and the fact that this was his best game as a vol would actually back up the point I was making. I know he looks good at times using the eye test, and he has monster potential, I'm just tired of him not capitalizing on some of it.

The problem I see with this offense is that the WR are catching some balls behind the line of scrimmage and getting hit for losses so the defense can roll up their coverages. Until the run a hitch or and go or get a home run hitter they are going to consistently be behind the chains. The other thing I see is they don't work the middle of the field (this would be a great place for Pig and the TE to work). Things like quick 5 yard slants and TE seem route would help. Alabama left the middle open for a lot of game.

Ok. I guess you got me there. But still think we have sufficient talent there just no rather between qb and wrs/tes
