Personally, I was glad Derick Rodgers was booted off at the beginning of the season. I thought he was way over rated especially after that drop against South Carolina last year. It seems that he had the same problem Hunter had this year and to some extent Patterson. Now, who would have thought Zach Rodgers would have been the MVP of the team this year?

Glad to see D. Rogers go because of his attitude, but he was not overrated in the talent area at all. Dude is a crazy good receiver.

Oh, Da'Rick Rogers. You think he was overrated because of one drop? He's not overrated at all. Big, strong, and fast. He had way more impressive catches than dropped passes. He was a got to guy. Something this offense has lacked this year. He ran the slant better than any receiver in the SEC. That's critical on 3rd downs. Probably the only WR on the team that could break a tackle and turn a 5yd gain into a 30yd gain.

Zach Rodgers is so under rated! He is in the shadows of some great receivers, but he always comes through when needed! He is also a VFL! I hope he gets a chance at the next level, he deserves it!

seriously? he was hands down the best receiver talent wise on the team.

If only his brain had 1/100th of the talent, he would have done amazing things.

And if you're basing this off one drop, consider how many Hunter, CP, Dallas and Pig dropped this year in crucial situations... we probably could have had 2-3 more wins. In comparison, Rogers pulled in some very difficult passes in the slot and did it consistently.

Ok guys do you really think if we had a coach that they would done all this crap. I talking about Rodgers and Bray. I only wish Gruden was the coach and Bray done some of the stuff he did with Dooley. That young man would have got a rear end chewing.

This hurts my head and makes me laugh at the same time.

If Da'Rick had played for us this year he'd have been first team all-SEC and almost a lock to be a first round pick. He was not overrated in the slightest.

I honestly don't even remember the USC drop. My best memories of DR are of his sandwich TD catch against Cincy, that stupid one handed catch against Vandy, and dominating Florida. The kid was/is a stud. If only he had his head on straight...

I actually thought Da'Rick was far from overrated...much like Tyler Bray the kid was such a knucklehead he couldn't get out of his own way. I thought the move to dismiss him from the team was long overdue. Now, in terms of talent, the kid was a freak and probably could have been an A.J. Green type of talent--still can but at Tennessee Tech and the way he left here he'll be "red-flagged" on a lot of NFL scouts lists.

All you need to do is replay how he punked honey badger in 2011 when he threw him around like a garage sale rag doll. He is not overrated. Period.

It's been a pleasure watching Zach as well as his brother, Austin, play ball at UT. Those are some tallented guys who didn't get near enough looks while they were here.

I can see Rogers going to the NFL and coming up from a practice squad to be a contributer on a team.

Either way, classy guy, and a great Vol.

VFL, I agree. He had one heck of a season and was fun to watch. Before this season, he was known for his many drops. He has progressed tremendously this year and has shown how hard work pays off.

Zach Rogers had a great year, but I'm not ready to give him MVP honors. That would have to go to CP or Bray.

Zro always had the speed and the route running ability... Just needed superglue on his hands and am glad he was able to find a good brand of superglue!
