Probably too late for anyone to act on this, but Disc Exchange is having Record Store Day live music today (April 16, 2011).
One of the groups playing starting at 2:00 is COMPANY OF THIEVES.
I had never heard of this group before last night. I saw them open for The Whigs in Whitesburg, Kentucky last night.
The lead singer is a female and I usually don't really rave over bands with female lead singers.
These guys are tremendous live. Their cds are fine, but the live sound and presentation will blow your mind. Today may be an acoustic set, so you won't get the full live band flavor.
If you get the chance and like great music, go see Company of Thieves. They are like a version of The Whigs with a female singer.
