Once again this college football season teams have met expectations and definately not met expectations. So what are expectations anyways??? Great recruiting to put talent on the field that can play??? Being ranked high in the preseason polls???? Having your star RB, QB, or WR have a heisman year??? Or is it just winning period???

Expectations are just goals, but when goals are misplaced bad things happen.

As far as the problems this year, this is the list I have for placing whatever blame you might want to on who it should be placed on.........

First.....I place the coaches first and foremost on the hot seat. Why you might ask....is because they recruit these kids to play and be a part of their team, not the other way around. Proper workouts, disipline, practice, and attitude instillment is what they are there to do.....did that happen this year??? Nope!!!

Next......I place the players right behind the coaches. Its the players responsibility to be up for the game at hand from where I stand, I just wish I knew where their heads were. Too many times this year Tennessee came in flat and played that way.....NO HEART AT ALL.

Next.....I place the fans. Where was the noise at Neyland this past year???? I remember watching games when Casey Clausen played that you could barely hear the announcers on TV because of the noise in Neyland. I think UAB took alot out of our sails the first game of the season, because of how poorly we performed that day.

Last......I place the University of Tennessee. They should have challenged the coaches and players to get it done instead of sitting on their hands and pointing fingers at each other.

Next year I don't want to be "Paper Champions" either. I would prefer not even to be ranked so that way we can prove ourselves instead of already being in the NC game.

Whatever happens, next year had better produce 9 wins or I am calling for your head CPF. I know that you have that attitude that produced the 98 NC team still laying around and you had better find it and superglue it to your forehead and your players forehead.

GO VOLS!!!!!

well well well. look who is back.

9 wins is pushing it next year. maybe including a bowl. i wanna say one thing though. the fans u touched on. i was at the uab game, and we scored on the first drive. and u could hear a pin drop in there. to many prissy college women in there with their big boobs and expensive purses who cant spell f-o-o-t-b-a-l-l. get lost. we dont need those ppl in neyland. when i got up and raised hell, ppl looked at me like i was an alien or something. i hate lsu, but bygod we should take some lessons from them and raise some freaking hell. whether we are up by 40 or down by 40. i know three things. i love god, my family, and tennessee football baby. yeah.

ok i got a little worked up. sorry. go vols.

To your original point, we have recruited many 4 and 5 star players. Not only do the fans demand it, the coaches (Fulmer in particular) seem to strive for it. The one thing that gets overlooked with all these blue chippers is their "mental game." IMO we have lots of physical talent on this team. We also have several blue chippers that came in as legends in their own minds and do not produce. I'll take one 3 star Arian Foster and give you 2 4 or 5 star WRs. In other words, your 40 time, vertical leap and # of stars does not make you a good college football player.
