I am like most on this board, I want to click on the recruting forum and see that we have acquired the number 1 this and the number 1 that. We are in the college football doldrums right now where the news is limited and we are just waiting out our time before the season starts. We are going through "withdrawals" right now. We had so much excitement recently with this past recruiting season and all of the Kiffin antics. There was almost daily news for 3-4 months on Kiffin and recruting. Now things are slowing down and we are jonesing...

It's irrational to get worked up about recruiting right now. It's simply too early to even say that our one solid commit will sign with us next year. Shoot we had Stokes and that blond kid for QB last year, neither which signed with us. Later we had Jarvis Giles and Oku (we lost both and then recovered one). We caught and then released Tahj. We were never in the running for Brown, Jackson, Green, Nukeese. on and on.

We just need to calm down and realize that this is just the very beginning of a lot of drama. Once the season gets going the drama while intensify 40 fold. Just enjoy the highs and lows that makes college football and recruiting so much fun. :clapping:

Or people can just take their xanax and chill. Whichever works.

Not sweating it at all. We are going to kick ass in recruiting this year. No doubt.

It's pretty clear that very few are stressed about recruiting at this point.

Our staff has been together fully for less than 4 months, and we were concentrating heavily on saving this past years class, which they more than did. Its way too early to expect recruits to come running to us, when they havent seen the product on the field. All of the schools with a lot of early commits have great in-state talent. UGA only has 3 early commits, and they arent freaking out.

Let's wait until after the HS school year ends. This group of coaches has my confidence at this point. And anyway any commitments at this point are fragile at best.

Our staff hasn't been together all that long, so I'm not about to pass judgment on their recruiting prowess based on early commitments. But, QB is an unusual position with regard to the timing of the commitment. It's not a knock on the staff if they can't land a good QB considering they were not in on most of these recruits at the right time.....but I do wonder if we'll be able to get a good QB.

I have faith in this staff they they'll be able to get us the right players in general, but the QB question may remained unanswered.
