I know it's the NFL, but stuff like this makes you wonder what's going on at other levels.

The love of money corrupts. The amount of money changing hands in "amateur" and professional sports is untold. To believe that the money loving facilitators are not involved in the outcomes of these events is to ignore the sum of the history of mankind.

That is because Tony V. and his goons have no respect for the game.
The Daddy hat and fur coat is okay as long as they do the celebration in dugout..MLB players celebrate with props...BUT the bat toss that doesn't land till you cross Home Plate after hitting HR is a little extreme...plus the throat slash gesture which I despise more than anything...

FORTUNATELY we've got the super sleuths from fhe NCAA on the case!! They'll assign 45 investigators to look into fur coat wearing during the game, and its distract ability and unfairness in creating a feeling of unease in opposing teams. Sunglasses will be banned in the dugout as reflection off of them can cause a pitcher to lose focus, also it can be intimidating (see Dale Sr).

Any team caught wearing a fur coat, or sunglasses will receive a written warning from the Ump, but only during a time when Tennessee is in the middle of a crucial offensive run, again this is to ensure fairness and speed of the game.

The officials, of whom are graduates of Georgia, Alabama, and Florida report directly to an empty desk, at nowhere USA. Failure to show objectivity will result in a slap on the wrist by their superior officer, Mr Invisible. The umpires, who are HS Janitors by day, will subsequently get into their 2024 Lexus SUV's, duck faced, as they drive sadly to their 5000 sq ft adobe huts.

UK can’t pass the ball, Mizzou can’t stop the run. I’m not very worried at all. The boys gonna eat!
If UK is allowed to hold all game, they will have plenty of time to pass. If we are called for holds all night, then Mizzou won’t have to face the run as much as we will be in long yardage situations.

The line decreasing in the face of more money coming in on TN already tells me that Vegas knows UK will get the whistle against us.

Thanks to those who discussed Band of Brothers last week. I watched it over the past couple days and really touched by what I saw. I wish more people would watch it to understand the sacrifice that was laid out for the liberties and freedoms we enjoy today.

I have seen other WWII movies, but curious on other shows that center around D Day and the march to Berlin. Thanks !
It was very popular in 2001 when it came out. Hanks and Spielberg produced it and it won a ton of awards including two Emmy's.

Uscjr couldn’t throw the ball last year before they played us.

I think it was during the Mizzou broad cast vs UK that the announcers were saying that what made Leary so good at Nc State was the No huddle hurry up stuff. And that they thought Kensucky would use the bye week to try and implement that into their offense to get him going.

It’d be so Tennessee that Leary has a 300 yard performance this weekend.

The oddsmakers aren’t soothsayers, and honestly, only they really know how much money is coming in which teams. There is a lot of wager data that doesn’t make it into these aggregation charts.

For example, if you read these kind of tea leaves for our game last weekend, you would have thought we would have gotten a favorable whistle. But alas, we didn’t, and Bama covered.

That bama game was a back breaker. I’m completely bracing for a typical 3rd year Tennessee coach collapse. Promoted a position guy to coach our offense way too soon. Martinez guys still giving up terrible bombs at the most anti clutch moments in a game. Riding joe who played lights out first half but reverted back to the mean, which isn’t going to cut it.
Give me a break you’re acting like a MS girl

How did the tea leaves show a favorable whistle for us against Bama?? The line starting so high and staying there showed that Vegas knew what would most likely happen. Even in the face of our hot start, they were still right. Why? Because they knew the refs would take over the game, which they did.

Why would Kentucky get any whistles against us? If it's the SEC trying to uphold the hierarchy, then we would get the whistles.

The under center QB sneak may be simple in its design. I feel like people think it is much easier in its execution that reality. Basically that play is simplifying the play to one major variable. If the interior OL and interior DL simply fire off the ball directly into each other, who pushes who. There is no advantage gained by indecision, false steps, poor angles. Simply who pushes who in what direction. I am not convinced Mays/Lane/Spraggins win a pushing match with Alabama DL. We lost the interior OL/DL battle the entire 2nd half.
No it's by far the most effective play in football. No other play comes close to its level of effectiveness. It works close to 90% of the time.

We also QB snuck it several times last year and we ran out of center multiple times.

We did both against Virginia. The sneak worked, of course.

Why we haven't done it since is beyond all reason.

Exactly like what you were saying for the UK game. For a while, the line moved opposite of the public wager data. I distinctly remember someone posting that same graphic for our game. And trust me, those things don’t show the whole story.

I’ll give you an example: Vegas has loads of past game and betting data, and one of the things they know, for two fairly evenly matched teams (say, within a TD, neutral site), a home underdog is a very attractive play for big money. They know if they let Joe Public push the line too far up, a wave of late money will unbalance their ledger on that game. So their models factor that in and keep downward pressure on the line until they feel the can maintain equilibrium on a normal curve.

That’s just one of a dozen reasons a line might have some seemingly inexplicable movement during game week. You’ll drive yourself crazy trying to read too much into it.

You’re having very bad BVS. We will be fine
