My hope is from now on we run Joe like we did Saturday. If he keeps taking off like that and picking up big chunks then we will destroy Kentucky, because they aren't stopping our running backs.

Play calling and the officials really took us out of the game Saturday. It still feels like we figured some stuff out. Yes we need to see it again, but I'm not that worried about beating UK now.
I wondered about that this morning. I wonder if the coaches weren't in love with the backup QB situation, and didn't want Joe to get hurt. But now they feel Nico is more comfortable and they trust him if they need to play him now.

Because the established hierarch has put millions in his pockets and he wants more.
TN in the East and LSU in the West are the two biggest threats to status quo.
Gotta keep both programs treading water so the SEC can get 1 team minimum in the playoffs and 2 when the chips fall that way. Everyone is supposed to play second fiddle behind the main 2.
that is accomplished by us losing to georgia/Alabama…. why would they want to keep us and LSU out of new years 6 bowl games…. why didn’t they care last year when we beat Bama? Why did they allow LSU to win the championship in 2019… i have a lot of questions.

I think it's just been a long process with him.

I think they didn't expect to have to do that going into the year as much and Joe is not a natural runner, so they've had to realize he needs to run more and teach him how to run more. He did have the knee injury against UTSA so that slowed him down.

I have confidence moving forward, Squirrel got going and Ramel caught the ball.

It would be nice if Thornton wasn't the biggest WR transfer bust in the history of college football and if we get anything out of Nimrod and Webb it's a plus.

We definitely missed Bru out there in the second half. Maybe he's someone that could have stopped the bleeding. Blah...

It's all a bit too Conspiratorial for me. I don't believe there is a grand scheme to keep us down and your questions are answered by there not being a grand scheme. But, the Alabama game does continue to highlight major issues around officiating in the SEC. How does Alabama commit one penalty the whole game? It could be bias. I personally am pretty worked up about silence from the SEC offices and lack of action.

1. LSU is a big enough brand that they're allowed things when they are good enough. They've won titles before they're an established program.
2. At the time when we best Bama there was a good shot at the SEC getting 2 playoff teams, Sankey saw dollar signs.
3. Does a 3 loss TN get a NY6 bowl?
OM will have 2 losses and if the conference gets its way so will Mizzou. If things fall where the conference wants them UGA in the playoffs. Bama and Mizzou in the NY6 bowls, possibly the Lane train, and I forgot about them but Florida potentially only with 2 losses as well.
We are in that third tier this year Music City or Gator Bowl tier.

We were undefeated when we played Bama last year. They needed the best team to win to give best chance to get 2 teams in so they called the game fairly. We won, and they would have been right if we hadn’t crapped the bed against SC. We would have gotten in with Georgia.

This reminds me, does anyone remember a Tennessee game where it was actively snowing? I recall the 2007 TN/KY game that it might have been, but I was young then.

Do you really the ny6 bowl games are a big deal compared to cfp. Which get more viewers and puts more money into sec coffers. They cared last year, if bama makes the field goal then at worse it is overtime. Didn’t count on missing the fg and miracle finish. Nothing could stop the 2019 LSU offense and little they could do.

I still don't get why you would despise Tennessee if you are the SEC though. We are one of the biggest brands, with the largest fanbases, and we make probably Top 3 money in the conference.
That money is the virtually the same regardless of whether TN is a title contender or not. They don't want Tennessee to suck like a few years ago, they just want TN, FL, KY, MIZZO, and SC to fight it out for a distant second to GA.

Maybe.

Squirrel is a freak athlete, I would like to see us get him the ball more. I know Heupel doesn't tend to have those touch passes in his offense but I wouldn't mind seeing White get one or two a game. Maybe even a carry or two.

You answered your own questioning about the conspiracy. The SEC remains quiet without action and continues pumping out the same refs, because they are doing what they are told to do, like good puppies.

The official at the game Saturday that was said to be a real estate agent in Tuscaloosa was a farce right? Callers are losing their minds on the Basilio show over something I thought was a joke. Anyone confirm?

Reminder that the first CFP Rankings are Oct 31 @ 7pm

We'll see how things are set up for what the SEC needs out of Bama and UGA, what role we are supposed to play in that, and if we have room to play spoiler or sneak in through the back door.
I suspect they may want a TSIO rematch in Atlanta as that may be perceived as an easier match up for Bama, and give the conference a shot at two teams as UGA could still go as a 11-1 non division winner.

why does Sankey care about the established hierarchy besides what can benefit the league financially?
Because it's his best way to ensure 2 teams in the CFP. One team from the west, one team from the east that rarely play one another in the regular season. He's chosen GA, and Alabama. And, don't discount Saban's influence here.
