^^^^ This is the correct answer.

I HATE ALABAMA and YOU ALL SHOULD TOO

What?! Root for the school that blew out Bruce Pearl in his final game, flopped and got the charge call to stop us from the elite 8, and beat Kennedy Chandler's squad in the tournament? Not to mention gave South Carolina our signals and stopped us from going to the playoffs and potentially Hooker from winning the Heisman. No thanks. I'll root for the school that I have one of my greatest memories rushing the field against in a victory and I respect their coach as the goat.

How could I also forget having the only defensive player ever win the Heisman over a top 3 NFL wide receiver and top 3 QB of all time. Never root for Bama unless it's Michigan (or florida/ole miss personally).

have you read any nfl scout reports on him? there was one posted on here earlier in the week. he will definitely get drafted, his intangibles are off the charts.
I mean Anthony Richardson went top 4. Think about that. Joe won't be a high draft pick, but he will absolutely be drafted. He's also no risk to a locker room and his teammates love him.

If Nico does ball out it will be a fun offseason with the 2024 hype and the arguing of whether or not Nico should have started a lot sooner
I'll go ahead and say I dont think he should've started sooner. A player can change their body a lot in a few months. A lot of things with the offense will become easier from repetition in practices & seeing it operate from the sideline during games throughout their first season. He's probably just at the edge of being ready.

This game will help a lot going into the off-season. He'll probably look better earlier into next season than he would if he doesn't get to start in the bowl game.

I would've liked to seen him sooner, but he'll probably have a better career from going the route they've taken.

I guess this is an opinion but it's totally false. He might get drafted but he's not close to a guarantee. I'd lean towards him not being drafted. His athletic ability is nowhere close to Richardson's for that comparison either.

Lol, if FSU Quarterback didn't get injured Alabama's butt wouldn't be in playoffs...
Not directed at you, or any poster for that matter, but the whole FSU QB got hurt so they don't deserve to be in the CFP but Bama does is the weakest pile for crap I have seen in a long while. That FSU defense is/was elite and they would have given any of the top 5-6 teams a game of it. Plus, they would have had their backup QB back by now which would have given their offense something. They got jobbed for Saban/Sankey/SEC and this Bama team/SEC Conference is the weakest it has been in at least 8 years.

It's disgusting. Niether Bama nor Michigan deserves to be in the playoffs. Bama is there only because Birmingham corrupt officiating blatantly advanced them against the merits, and Michigan because the NCAA and the CFP crookedly advanced them by deliberately stalling and refusing to act on three separate investigations where they already have abundant proof. The FBI has proof in one of them. It's the "CFP is Rigged and Corrupt Bowl."

I don’t disagree that they got robbed but they would’ve lost by 2 scores to every other team in the playoff. Now they earned the right to do that but still.

Not sure I agree on the conference being weak with the SEC having 5 of the top 13 teams in the country.

Bama and UGA are good but they are not dominant good like they have been. Washington and UM could hold their own against either and Tejas already beat Bama once. As for the other 3 in the top 13, Mizzoo is a good team this year. Ole Miss and LSU are not dominant teams and could lose on any given Saturday to a multitude of teams. The top 25 is closer in parity this year than anytime in the last decade. That is more of what I meant by the SEC being down. The SEC just isn't the single dominant conference like they have been, so to say that the 1 Loss SEC champ should be in the playoff over the undefeated ACC champ this year makes less sense than it would have any time in CFP era.

UGA guy in that podcast talking about Milton. Mentioned that the combine is the underwear Olympics. Milton will look insanely tempting to GMs with his measurables. Throw the ball 80 yards, run a decent 40 speed, charm the media with his smile. Someone will take a chance late. Every coach will think they can fix him just like they have in the past.

ALL POSTERS!!!!! Please do not respond to the latest rando thread, "Current Recruiting Class Much Better Than it Appears". Please let it drop out of sight so as to not clutter up the RF. TIA for your efforts in keeping the RF free of clutter.

Why do you speak in absolutes? I would warn you against that.

I think we beat Iowa by 10+ points but I kind of hope Nico struggles just a little. Not enough for the fans to flip on him, just enough to show he's human.

Explanation:
I want Nico going into the 1st game next year with something to prove. The fans have been begging for this and the expectations are off the charts right now. It needs to be curbed some. Joe played really well in the Orange Bowl. Then the practice reports last summer/fall were all very positive about Joe's accuracy and I even remember seeing "the receivers hadn't dropped a ball all camp". When the offense struggled this season, the 1st thing the fans did was pile on Joe and the receivers (and Heupel some). There were even people chanting "NICO" in the VA game. I think Nico is the real deal and the best QB we've had since PM. But.... I also believed Joe had turned the corner after the Clemson game and he didn't play anywhere close to his Orange Bowl performance at the start of the year. He did get better but some of the fans had unreservedly wrote him off. I don't want the fans to blast Nico this coming season if he struggles, like they did Milton .... me included.
. . .

I hope nico looks like superman on the field. I hope everyone gets pumped up for next season. Then I hope Nico continues to exceed all expectations every game and returns for his senior year, becoming known as the best player to ever step on a football field. I hope he continues to do the same thing in the pros, then retires and becomes a famous actor/philanthropist/international ambassador of UT, before being elected president of the USA.

Just hope our RBs are the explosive, play makers everyone seems to think they are. Can't help but remind myself that they were backups for a reason. Just hope it was this staff's obsession with upperclassmen and not a talent issue that kept them off the field.
Stupid dumb take on the RB situation.

They were backups for a reason!
Just like Wright was before he wasn’t

I could see that. I think there's a chance for sure. I'm curious if I can think of a QB comparison in college and if they got drafted or not. VT's QB Logan Thomas comes to mind and he's had a decent career as a tight end. I don't see Milton playing TE whatsoever but I'm not sure if Thomas was drafted with that in mind.
