While I favor guys finishing, ESPN can get for making comments about it. They are the ones who are influencing the entire industry.

I don’t disagree they’ve changed the market. But ESPN isn’t making the players opt out. Front runner culture within a program does that. “We’re in the playoffs or we all quit” isn’t on ESPN.

They absolutely are with FSU. They want ratings, so the pick was Bama. None of those guys opt out if they are in the playoffs.

Just like McAfee calling the WSU-OSU game a joke when ESPN is the one who got them in that position.

Arrogance. They deserve what they are getting. Can’t have it both ways and pissed at Orange Bowl ratings.

Think this is a very simplistic way to think about it. Most are opting out to prepare for their next step in their career or they have hit to portal to a better opportunity. Dont think many are just quitting for the sake of quitting because they didnt get in the playoffs. JMO
