I know that FSU has more opt outs and the game would have been a bit closer, but Georgia would still have embarrassed them.

Regardless, my point was about a different type of embarrassment. FSU has no position to whine, IMO. Quitters don’t deserve pity or defense.
I just don’t think the outcome proves anything about the initial decision to leave them out. Totally different scenario if they are in the playoffs. These non playoff bowls are exhibitions.

that means more to the fans than it does to a lot of the players.

Speak to a lot of the players do ya?

Clearly doesn’t mean anything to FSU players. But that’s on the coach. Seems to mean something to UGA players. Meant something to UT players as #10 overall draft pick played in the Orange Bowl.

I’m not even sure what you say at halftime if you are Norvell. His players clearly are demoralized and don’t want to be there anymore. Luckily for them, Kirby isn’t one to actually run up the score after halftime. I think Georgia is going to completely ease off the gas pedal.

Ehh.... not so sure about that.

He has a point to make that they should have been in the playoffs!

I realize the amount of opt outs for FSU......but this game is an fn joke!

Doing less than nothing to help their case!
If it even 20-3 but 42-3? Even the worst stinker cupcakes haven't played Georgia that bad.. If this was the VOLS, I would want them to play the game and prove you belong.

I don’t get your point. Are you saying I’m implying Tennessee has a bad culture because Tamarion McDonald and Tyler Baron opted out? Because that’s not what I’m saying. I also think there is a difference in a few players opting out and basically half your team opting out.
No…people on here complain that we don’t offer or pay for a transfer because of “fit” and culture. Now they are praising Georgia’s culture and concerned about FSU. Just ironic to me.

nope…. don’t speak to any of them…. just judging by their actions… It is a reward for the players…. some take it seriously…. some don’t care…I have a suspicion that georgia and Bama players are financially rewarded for playing/competing in the bowl games…. Sort of like Hyatt last season although he didn’t have a playing stipulation. It is also why it is so hard to bet on bowl games bc you don’t know who cares and who doesn’t.

I can see the point you are trying to make and I don’t necessarily disagree, but I do think it’s two different situations.

It's not fair to judge FSU for this game, unless you want to talk about their culture, but look at other bowl results. Top ACC teams struggling with and losing to bad teams. FSU even when healthy struggles with several of those teams. This bowl season has led to plenty of credibility for the committee.

Not entirely. You are also fighting for the best seeding possible. You want to be ranked as high as possible in case there is a log jam..... For most games you're right but ranked bowl teams are certainly playing for something.

I got to try George T Stagg and Eagle 17 yesterday 🤓🤓 @InVOLuntary @KptVFL and other bourbon heads

Added Weller Single Barrel, Stagg, and RVW10 to the cabinet over Christmas. Stagg 140 proof?? Looking forward trying it. Also, I am a big Weller fan. For those who have tried it, provide a review on Weller Single Barrel.

I generally favor those players that want to compete and finish their season with their teammates. Sometimes, like Milton, maybe the coaches help them with the decision. But I just loathe how much power ESPN now has, and they are getting what they deserve. I just don’t believe that this, in any way, justifies the decision. This would be a full FSU team playing another opponent in the playoff.

49-3. No heart. No pride.

I've seen many FCS teams play UGA much harder in Athens.

It's an embarrassing showing for the FSU program and doesn't confer sympathy for their grievance.

Idk why fans think like that. Orange Bowl W last year was sweet and meant a lot for the program.

Means something to UGA. That’s why basically all their dudes are playing.
If we had beaten SC and lost Hendon, what happened to FSU would have likely happened to us. That said, I do think that playing in a New Years six bowl is quite an honor. Obviously Georgia players feel that way, even though they are likely one of the four best teams in the country. I just wish that FSU had showed up and gave their all.

This - speaks mountains to program culture
