I see Chaney and Pruitt as being very cerebral and detail oriented. Tee has other strengths but I did not see him fitting with them
Dude won a natty as a good QB and played in the league too. Not to mention just being in the same QB room as Manning for a time.

Really not sure what you’re basing that off of.

Apparently you miss the point. Those teams are already upper echelon and we're not. So if their success draws eyes to the conference, and therefore us, it makes us more appealing as well. Your argument would be great if we were all on a level playing field. We're not. So until we get good again we need all the help we can get in recruiting. We haven't lost recruits because our opponents are in the upper echelon. We've lost recruits because we aren't in the upper echelon. There's a difference between the two.
Again, agree to disagree. I get your point about the marginal recruiting impact that the SEC overall has on the mid/bottom tier SEC teams. Conference supremacy and it’s impact has become more and more watered down with as much parity nowadays. That may change with the whole pay fiasco that the NCAA has created (another topic for another day). I dare say a vast majority of the top 300 recruits have a common thought process of “I want to play FOR the best teams” (choosing the upper echelon) NOT “I want to play AGAINST the best teams” (thus choosing UT, etc.). You’re right that we aren’t in the upper echelon. But we differ because the thought of “SEC” may draw marginal eyes to the whole conference but those eyes are by-in-large going to focus and choose the upper echelon schools as long as they keep winning. My argument is that we’ve lost more recruits due to them choosing to play for the “WINNERS”. If you win then kids will want to play for those teams more than simply what conference you’re in. That’s why I’m all for UT and screw everyone else. The “yeah, we’re in the SEC!” has minimal impact on the teams who are not winning at an extremely high level. As long as Bama, LSU, UGA, Florida keep advancing into the playoffs then the eyes of recruits are drawn to them, not to us. Again, the majority of the time.

If I’m too narrow minded in my argument then I’ll gladly eat crow but respectfully agree to disagree with the thought of the “SEC” being held in such high regard that we continue to want our rivals to keep winning. Absurd.

Go Vols!!!

Idk how you listen to Pruitt talk or see his defense making the same mistakes over and over again and describe him as "cerebral".

I also don't get the pure hate some of our fans have for Tee.

Twenty-one second half points in 5 games, one of which was Bama...and you talk about Pruitt's defense. Cerebral, indeed.

NFL. He made both the Steelers and Raiders roster. Also played in NFL Europe and the CFL.

He played in 3 games in 3 years in the NFL and hopefully no one will attempt to post his stats. Loved the guy and what he did but you can't live off what you did as a kid 21 years ago.
As we all know its "what have you did for me lately". I know what Atl Vol said but I don't know it personally

Anybody you know make a NFL roster? Me neither. The question was what league did he play.

Not sure if "doesn't fit" means he can't stand him (idk, you might be correct).

Either way, seeing you call someone else out for coach hate, did get me laughing.😂

I do not see how your screen name can be Tyler Durden, a made up alpha persona, but you post like a complete beta. Complain about everything all day, every day.

Hate is also a strong word when people are just saying that it is possible Tee is underperforming given his reputation.

People questioning Tee's performance on the recruiting trail or as a coach is valid, whether I agree with it or not.

It's the one's insinuating he's dumb, lazy, or any other stereotypical sometimes thinly veiled racist comment that I have an issue with.
