Back to Tee. Someone has the receivers playing better and running routes correctly. If it isn't Tee then I don't know who you would give the credit to. Thats why Atl Vol post last night hit like a hammer. I know Pruitt said the reason he moved down to the field was to be closer to the receivers and their rotation.
I can't complain about the receiving corp at all. So I would have to give Tee credit here.

It's not just you but I keep seeing people basically say because the WR's are performing well, they don't understand AV's post.

Why would his 'coaching 'em up' make struggles on the recruiting trail less likely?
I'm not seeing the correlation?

I still like Frost too. He’ll get all the time he needs to get it turned around and I expect him to do it. Will be cool to see Nebraska back near the top. Need Miami and USC back up there too. CFB just doesn’t feel right without the historic programs duking it out.
As long as the Vols get back to national relevancy, I’m good.

I think that AV was saying that Tee was expected to be one of our top recruiters but hasn’t.

What is and has hurt the recruiting for WR would be QB play this year and QB stability. Kids today don't know or care about the Tee as we knew him.
Being a top notch recruiter today would take a WHOLE lot of PATIENCE and TIME. I can't comprehend how they even do it. Can you imagine having to try to manage these kids today. Ego's through the roof. All day, all night, every week and weekend. A good recruiter is a special person for sure.

Idk how you listen to Pruitt talk or see his defense making the same mistakes over and over again and describe him as "cerebral".

I also don't get the pure hate some of our fans have for Tee.

Yeah, I hate Tee. Good grief. Pruitt is one of the best defensive minds in college football. Tee has his strengths, but does not have the reputation of being an offensive tactician.

But you don't know that? Everything from "he needs time to reestablish connections" to "our slow start" is assumption.

Here's another - Pruitt talks to every recruit also.. What if he's displeased with the vibe/feedback he has gotten from them on Tee's relationship building? Idk? But you guys are making some completely unverifiable claims as to what's going on.

To be fair to Tee how do you sell to a WR recruit to come play at Tennessee right now. Our QB position is a hard sell to a kid who wants to go to the league and be a 1st rounder. We do have a few bumps in the road right now.

The recruits may actually love some of these coaches but WR position would be a hard sell right now.

AV attempted to clear it up but vaguely called him a “coaching bust”. Recruiting disappointment might have avoided some of the responses.

I'm not taking up for Tee's lack of recruiting by any means. You are correct " I do not know". Atl Vol is close to the situation and I was just stunned when he said that.

My guess is Tee is having a hard time fitting into what Pruitt wants to do but I think things like this need some time to gel.

Letting Tee walk would be a mistake and a bad signal for the current crop of players who really like him. He’s been the lead mentor for guys like Maurer and obviously the young receivers.

Definitely harder when open to interpretation. I took his last statement as that but I could be the one misinterpreting. Wish he would hang around longer when he drops something like that.

Basically just quoting it again so it's easier for me to glance at, not in response to you.

Let me rephrase as I think it is getting taken out of context. I think we will see some coaching changes..probably pretty minor.
In my opinion TM has been the biggest bust of all of them on the recruiting trail....but he may stick around by virtue of how he got here.....

I love Will Muschamp's glasses. Reminds me of Rick Perry suddenly wearing them in an attempt to look smart (after forgetting which governmental department he would cut). But for Muschamp it's probably to look a little more scholarly and less like a psychopath on the sideline.
