hard to say for sure. Losing our best pass rusher, best LB, and best secondary guy (arguably). I think we'll definitely be very, very good defensively but someone will have to fill those 3 spots being left by our seniors who have meant alot to this team.

Coaching bruh. Pruitt’s rep with DB’s isn’t hype. Took a year but Nigel Warrior finally became the player we thought we were signing.

Absolutely sucks we don’t have him for another year. He could’ve sniffed pre season All conference for sure...

This. Losing too much leadership and playmaking. The only thing I'm sure of next year is both LOSs will continue to get older and better.

I agree...when a guy comes in with high expectations like Morris, Frost and Taggart it is even worse. Pruitt should have had the benefit of almost no expectations considering what he walked into, and his lack of experience, but he really hasn't. A huge portion of VolIdiots are hating him unmercifully already. Did people really not expect him to have a steep OJT learning curve? That is purely the cause of the GSU fiasco, but it seems few understand that.

Majority of these fanbases...the reasonable portion, merely want to view a pulse and ADVANCEMENT of the program. Low bar that Morris, Taggart and Frost haven’t cleared and Pruitt hadn’t until recently. The big wins against Auburn and Kentucky were negated by the collapse at the end of last season and the disaster at the beginning of this one. But when you pull out a win that you’ve lost in previous seasons? That’s ADVANCEMENT and then some.

And played at that level throughout the full year. I’m glad we got to see this but pissed that two seasons were wasted with coaching incompetence.

True. I guess most folk will say Jonathan Taylor, but watching Travis...if he was getting the same workload as Taylor he might be sitting at 2k yards already.

Here are a few of my thoughts on the UK game Saturday and the season....

1. Let's go ahead and give JG a ton of credit. With the way the season started and some of the mistakes he has made this year...even losing the starting job...he has had great resolve. He could of packed it up and said **** it but he has been rock solid. JG is one of the biggest reasons why we have won 4 out of the last 5 games.

2. The progression of the defense this year...especially the DLIne has been nothing short of remarkable. A lot of people were making comments about how pathetic the defense was Saturday night...but we knew what we were going to be going up against in that very heavy rushing attack. This defense shut that offense down after the first quarter and made huge stops when they needed to.

3. Is Callaway the best 50/50 ball receiver in the country...I think so. Dude is unreal.

4. Warrior's improvement under this coaching staff is amazing. He's working his way to getting drafted.

5. We have to run the ball better if we want to get to a bowl game. The Oline is great in pass protect but they need to do a better job of opening up those lanes. Now, I do realize the line is banged up so this bye week comes at a great time.

6. Bituli is a machine. Henry To'o To'o is gonna be one of the all time greats here. Blakely made a huge play on that 4th and goal that has went unnoticed .
