This. Losing too much leadership and playmaking. The only thing I'm sure of next year is both LOSs will continue to get older and better.

Linebacker depth has potential to be a real issue going into next year. Bituli will be a big loss. D line should be stout, and the secondary should be good for the most part. Need pass rushers as well.

Well, why isn't any other RB in the ACC raking up 8.1 a carry? I mean he's obviously a good RB...sucks we missed on him. He's a 4.4 guy at 200lbs and has been absolutely tearing it up.

He'll be a top 5 RB selected in the draft when he enters I think, cause he'll probably get to showcase in the playoffs as well.

FSU coaching search update. I don’t bet but if I did my money would be on Mark Stoops.

11/11 @ 11:00 a.m.

Don't need to tell you that it's been very slow the past few days. Don't think much has changed. All indications are FSU is still ultra focused on plan A, which is Bob Stoops. Also, it seems like FSU has made a concerted effort to limit the flow of information on the coaching search.

As we hinted at before, there's a decent chance we could hear something this week on the deal with Stoops (positive or negative). Not sure it would be actually announced this week but if there's a meeting of the minds/handshake deal we should know about it. If it doesn't work out, or Stoops hedges, I expect FSU to move forward by aggressively looking at other candidates.

Speaking of other candidates, I keep hearing that the other Stoops (Mark) has a strong interest in the FSU opening. Although he's probably among the top five coaches being considered, not sure he's in the top three.

Yep. And an “absence” of stats for a DB isn’t an indicator of poor play.

CB yes...SS no..it actually is, or can be a big indicator for safetys. It does depend a lot on the kind of offenses you have faced though too..so

Used to him being a DE/RB.

With Banks back for spring ball, I think the ILB group will be less impacted by losing Bituli and with some good Memphis talent coming in. Plus JJP will only be a RS-So, I am still hopefully for him...Bennett is in his 3rd year and is showing out now so maybe year 3 we'll see JJP's true potential.

I am unsure how we replace DT, but there's been promise from Bennett. We need to see Crouch/Roman step up...haven't gotten much from Johnson like I had hoped we would this year either.

Secondary & DL I feel pretty good about. Elijah, Garland, Bumphus, Emerson, Solomon, Middleton, Butler, Savion, Mincey, Harris, and Gooden...that group has played a lot and are all getting experience and showing some flashes.

Alontae, Burrell, George, Bryce, Tank, Flowers, Jackson, Fields, Shamburger, Solomon...with some studs incoming. Plus I feel like secondary is our strongest coaching area too with Pruitt & Ansley both being great recruiters and player developers.

Wondering where Aaron Beasley & Jerrod Means end up...cause I still have high hopes for each

Forget about Crouch playing ILB.

Used to him being a DE/RB.

I think he's going to have to play ILB next season at this point.... We have several options at pass rusher next season but only 1 (Hank) at ILB. Can't expect freshmen to be as elite as Hank has been so far this season, he's a next level recruit that doesn't come around every day.

I also don't know that we shouldn't look at bulking up McCullough and considering him for ILB. we have plenty of safety depth with Lawrence coming in and Flowers getting healthy.

The defense will be good. The defense will be elite IF players at each level take another step forward. Losing DT, Bituli, and Warrior will be significant. IF Bennett/Crouch, To'o To'o, and Flowers/McCullough, etc. assume the leadership and play to the level of this year's seniors then next year's defense will keep UT in every game.
