Wish I could have more hope on JJP for next year at LB, but I finally noticed him vs UK and solely watched him a play. He had a shot to shoot a 2nd level gap and instead just shuffled toward the play, got bodied up, and seemed fine with it. No urgency to make a play or aggressiveness to defeat the block. I know it was just 1 play and he's been here 15 months, but it feels like a mentality/attitude thing. And he barely played, so not tired ofc.

Hopefully Pruitt instills some madman into him over the offseason.

Not sure....sports-reference only has 'em getting on the stat sheet in 5 games. Bennett has doubled him in tackles and is equal with sacks.

We have a big dip from DT with sacks. He has 7 and then our next closest guy has 2 (Bituli and a few others). But better DL play should help offset that a bit next season. Still if I had to say which one of the 3 leave will be the most missed, I think I'd pick DT.

Not that Bituli and Warrior aren't great...but I feel like we got some young talent on campus, or coming on campus that can help replace their production. We simply don't have anyone that has shown elite pass pressure to help replace DT's production, and not got any big time recruits at that position yet either.

I think with him its inconsistency. Obviously if Banks is allowed on the team in the spring, he's an immediate starter at Linebacker with Henry T and allows Crouch to go back to Rush End.

The LVs mean a lot to me and my family, so I really want them back but it looks like we're still a year away. But hey, I'll be watching anyway and hoping as usual.

Welp! Hopefully by then the stain on our two flag ship programs, caused by Holly and Botch Jones era will have finally lifted.

I don't know, hoping OL continues to improve and Chaney stops forgetting we have RBs. Feel like a lot of our lack of rushing yards has come more from those 2 things rather than the backs.

Think Gray with a full spring camp is going to be really pushing for more touches as a sophomore too. I also like all the things about Tee Hodge.

With the VQ guys saying that JG might not leave, then you add Hill to this list, then UT could survive if Maurer and Shrout leave in the spring. I think Bailey is too good to redshirt.

Add in Hill as well. Assuming JG returns, I expect to see JT transfer honestly. He might do it at the end of this season. Bailey will be willing to RS I'm sure if he doesn't win the job and JG is still here.

So in an ideal situation I'd like to see JG playing like he did Saturday all the time next year and win the starting job with Maurer/Hill in a battle to be the backup. Let Bailey get that RS season and if JT wants to stick around then good for him.
