Talked to a Mizzou alum yesterday who's biggest concern right now is the surge of Nebraska and Les Miles at Kansas. He likes Odom and Dooley, but he's very concerned about recruiting right now. Historically, Mizzou recruits well when Nebraska is down. Adding Les Miles down the road to pick up a couple of recruits here and there isn't helping, Missouri doesn't have a huge recruiting pool and successfully stealing top guys from Arkansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Tennessee is hard for them.
Curious. Were these highly rated by the recruiting services?Ezekiel Elliot, Terry Beckner, Jeremy Maclin, Sheldon Richardson and DBG (even though he moved to Springfield) all STL players.
Shane Ray, Drew Lock, Aldon Smith KC
only one that got away was Elliot.
There's an abundance of talent in MO...
Just rewatched that, saw it last night, but was hammered. Anyone else think Cole Cubelic kinda pissed Pruitt off?! He didn’t look overly pleased.
If the story is true that he's not involved with contact practices, I doubt that will fly in the NFL. Those dudes are big and mean and he'll have to practice, with contact, or they may take him to the wood shed. I hope he has a long career in the NFL but I don't see how that can be accomplished with contact practices.Whatever team wants him will ask the Tennessee team doctors what they're doing to "control" the clots. Then they'll ask experts and come up with a plan. He's proving this year that he can play with the diagnosis
The sec doesn’t have any ground to stand on this year. GA state, San Jose state, unlv, app state, wku, etc all have wins in SEC country. Still the best probably but the gap is tiny.[/QUOT
Tiny gap?...Let's see how "tiny" that gap is on draft day.The sec doesn’t have any ground to stand on this year. GA state, San Jose state, unlv, app state, wku, etc all have wins in SEC country. Still the best probably but the gap is tiny.

For as good as Callaway is at high pointing the ball....
Josh Palmer is better.
ii get what you're saying, but just being realistic...conf title games aren't going anywhere....too much money.I say cut out the conference championship game for the reason you stated. It is meaningless if AL gets in again with having to do that. And what is the use of Oklahoma and Baylor having to play again? Let them win the conference by all playing each other then go play someone else.
It's the ultimate punishment for a #4 team like UGA that would already be in.ii get what you're saying, but just being realistic...conf title games aren't going anywhere....too much money.
the only way to fix what we have now is to NOT lose the revenue they're currently generating, and find a way to probably increase it in the process.
so, assume that conf title games aren't going anywhere....i still say you win your conf, you get in to the playoff. no pressure LSU. lol.
Once you make a roster, you’re never timed again. How fast you are on the field holds sway. Vontaze Burflict ran a 5.0 and went undrafted. If he wasn’t such a head case he’d have HOF numbers and lifetime financial security. If JJ goes late in the draft, someone is gonna get a steal. Dude is just a football player.
Losing JJ is gonna hurt. Bitulu too but I think it's a little more possible for another player to step into that defensive role.
Whatever insane law of physics that seems to make JJ and defenders bounce off one another until he incredibly dawg hops into the endzone... you just can't.
