bama wouldn't get in, in my system...they didn't win the conf either. LSU or GA would get in. Bama goes to Charlotte or something.

which is another good point....while it may suck for some top ranked team that loses it's conf title game, if there is a silver lining, it would probably help some of these "lesser" bowls as they would seemingly get some opportunities at some marquis teams coming to town every now and then, and it would provide some match ups that we would otherwise not really ever get.

can't tell you that you should be excited about the possiblity of a Ok State/Bama bowl game or whatever, but it's at least more intriguing than Ok St/MSU...........

Vegas would love it....
I remember when Urban said no team should to be in the championship if they were not conference champions. Then OSU got in when they were not conference champions and he changed his tune. Coach speak is a bitch.

it usually is... which is why they say nothing while saying a lot...to avoid stuff like that lol.

The two minute warning isn’t always going to be something you can use tho. Also in the nfl without the 1st down clock stop, you basically can only target WRs outside the numbers in desperation mode.

I agree TOs aren’t as valuable when you have the ball in college

But when you are behind they are more valuable when you don’t have the ball in college

It all equals out

With that being said I thought mizzu shouldn’t have called their TOs so soon. If they wait i think we run it more times which was their best chance to stop us imo

if you want to see bad clock management...watch the last 2 1/2 minutes of the Panthers/Saints game.

Everybody killing Pruitt for Maurer coming in... Pruitt just said that Jg’s protective pad for his hand fell off and that’s why he came out for a play.

Maybe, just maybe, we don’t know everything that’s going on? Just a thought

That's what I assumed, especially given that the play looked like it was more 'hurry go run something, anything' than called. It seemed pretty clear to me that whatever was going on was completely ad libbed.

My concern with the offense has nothing to do with JG. It’s with replacing Calloway and JJ.

I think it would be best for JG to move on, yes.
yeah, they'll be missed. but i think we get actually get better, just from a pure WR skill set, with Palmer and Gibbs....definitley a little faster.

but...can't teach size and physicality...we'll miss that for sure.

i'm curious what we do at TE, even if we get DW....i think that's gonna be interesting....we got those two from last year's cycle, wonder how they fit in? and i'm gonna be interested to see how gray and chandler develop this off season.

Did you see his interview after the game? He said he was a VOL for life. He ain't gonna leave because he has too much invested in Tennessee.

Im all for the hype with Gibbs, but we have no idea what we’re getting there. Palmer is really really good we know that. BJ isn’t great, but he’s a good, solid receiver. I’m hoping Hyatt can contribute day 1 and that Keyton takes the next step.

I think DW starts immediately. He’s a freak. We need to land him

i forgot about Johnson. the red shirted him for a reason. i think this off season will be good for him, Keyton too. he has some length....there's been a lot of buzz about gibbs from practice...coaches and media. i think he's gonna be just fine.

i think Hyatt needs a year in the weight room. but....no way they leave that kinda speed on the bench all year. could see him on special teams or with some packages on offense, kinda like Auburn did with Schwartz last year....jet sweeps, end arounds etc....but as an every down guy? probably not.

and i agree on DW. he's a day 1 starter, but he won't be the only one we use out there, so it'll still be intersting to see what happens with the rest of that room. is pope a sr?

I hope Jackson Lowe is good. He was highly recruited. I bet Brown fills the Pope role

You just made my point.

Getting your team into the wrong play or wrong personale on the first play of a drive is a real problem that can’t me made in game 11

I understand this board wants to overlook clear signs this coaching staff isn’t performing at an elite level yet when we win but if Pruitt wants to take this program to the next level we can’t have these kind of mistakes
Or you could say that Missouri was in a bad position and Pruitt saw it and attacked it, leading to 3 points.

To pick him out for calling what you thought was a bad TO, and not give him credit for pulling a FG out of 30 seconds there is badly misrepresenting things.

If it makes you feel any better, the receivers that are balling out now were also on the team when we were just awful earlier in the year.

I think a good bit of the progression we’ve seen has been a level of comfort in Chaney’s offense. Any loss from the WR will be offset by that and an improved OL imo.

But I did give him credit for getting 3

I said the rest of the drive was perfectly run imo

One would think we'd be in more on elite WRs with the way we've use MC, JJ, JP, etc. We have really been airing the ball out lately. Additionally, we have a solid OL and Bailey coming in for the future.
