Yay! An MJ vs Lebum debate! I was about to say I didn't even start this one, but I actually think I did... Even though I'm not even apart of it now.

Also, I feel like I need to know how old all of you are. It is important for me to respect my elders, and I did not realize how many 50+ year olds I talk to on here everyday and assume they're my age

The real shame is that I never got to watch Oscar Robinson, Dr. J, Pistol Pete, Wilt, Kareem, Bernard King, or Bill Russell play :(

In the NFL I think the number of great players from the early eras wouldn't hold up as well in today's game. In the NBA though I think most the elite would be elite on any court, in any era they played.

More rings, went against better defense by era, his mentality. I would take prime Kobe over prime Lebron any damn day. I've had the luxury of seeing both in person in their prime.

Dude is 6'9" 250 lbs. Fouls could be called every time he drives, but he is/was so fast and strong that contact doesn't affect him as much as it does most NBA players. Same with Shaq.

More rings? Team sport. Lakers were a dynasty. Those teams were loaded. Heck, Kobe wasn't even the best player on those teams (save one), Shaq was.

His mentality? You mean ball hog that jacks up as many shots as possible? Yeah, gimme the dude that can do it all AND sees the value in passing.

Hell yeah, I hope Gray is closer to that Vandy game for the rest of his career. He showed he pretty much has it all. Great vision, quickness, top end speed, and elite balance.

I'm not sure why Ty has never really taken big strides, but I think Gray could be a 1k+ back for the next 2 (hopefully 3) seasons if he stays healthy.

Give me a basketball experts list that has Kobe ranked ahead of LBJ in teams of all-time players. Someone that knows more than you and me. Because I can give you dozens that support my claim.
